Some classic bits that still make me laugh today:

George Carlin 109 He was the master, imo.

The most astounding fact about George Carlin was his ability to deliver flawlessly. He could present for an hour and a half without a single stutter. He would never laugh at his own jokes or lose character. He was a master performer and he knew how to build and develop the crowd with speech and facial expressions.

I'm sad now. He will be missed.

Carlin was my dad's favorite. I watched all of his specials growing up and just read, "When will Jesus Bring Us the Porkchops" again earlier this year.

Only saw Carlin in-person twice. The last time was here in San Francisco in 2004 and he was way off. Probably would have been considered "good" for most others, but he wasn't on his game and was going of on tangents a bit. A few weeks later the story came out that he'd just been admitted into rehab, which explained it. Not his finest performance, but still glad I got to see him just a few years before he died.

I thought his last HBO special a few months before he died was really good. Definitely a master and definitely missed.
