i just got home and turned on the TV next to my desk. i thought i'd listen to some of this funeral, and the music. especially if it's gospel music.
but it seems Aretha won't be performing, she has leg spasms. i don't even know if she's there. rats.
i've never seen a gold hearse before.
the tragic star's distraught ex-husband Bobby Brown was seen driving away from the church shortly before the service began amid claims he had been turned away.
However, CNN reported he returned and entered the church through a side door.

The driver could have dropped a dime on her at any time. But he didn't.
I feel badly for a bunch of kids. Their parents won't pay the rent so they have to move, parents sleep with anybody they can lure to their hovels whether the kids are home or not so kids don't feel safe in their own beds, parents are drunk/high/not emotionally present so the kids have to create their own love. I could go on and on. I guess because I worked with kids for so long, I had to stop investing in their tragedies (most people have some bad shit to deal with) and start helping them realize they can remove any obstacle. Having an excuse is the worst trap facing humanity.
Cracker isn't part of the problem. Empathy yes, sympathy no. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, try again.

If the driver had stopped her he wouldn't have been able to sell all the lurid details to the tabloid press now.

Yeah. We all have to stop participating. I will really try to NEVER go to TMZ again.
We could all blame ourselves for letting this shit continue, but in the end, it is personal choice and personal responsibility. It really is the answer to every problem.

Bobby may have handed her the pipe but he didn't smoke it for her. Never a good thing in a marriage if one spouse turns to the other and says "crack?" for the response to be "sure why not?".

I think Bobby is taking more than his fair share of blame. Most reports state Whitney had been using since she was young, early 80s. She didn't marry Bobby until the early 90s. She had a good ten years of drugs in her system. I don't blame him. She was rich as hell and could have paid for any treatment program, as with her record label. She went to rehab many, many times.
Bottom line: People with 80-100 million dollars can whatever the fuck they want to do.

TMZ reported that Bobby Brown got into an argument with Whitney's family over whether or not he could bring nine people into the church with him. He was invited and told he could bring two people but instead showed up with an entourage of nine.
Bobby reportedly became upset when he was told his party could not be seated. He was also refused to sit beside his daughter Bobbi Kristina in the front row.
