That's how I feel too. The number of people that think your life is their business is astounding.

It's not just about affairs. It IS about their charactor as LC said. If a man cheats on his wife and lies to everyone, how do know he is being honest in his job? How can his constituants trust him to handle the business of their state? Or country as with Bill. When a man is a liar and a cheater when it comes to his marriage, it's a pretty good bet he is a liar and a cheater when it comes to politics as well.

If Edwards was some regular Joe Blow driving the garbage truck, I could care less what he did in his personal life. I would think he is a douche but it wouldn't affect my opinion on how he drives the garbage truck. Being the president or a senator is a whole different thing.

I totally agree!

it's not simply "affairs". it's his character.
the cruelty to his wife. terrible cruelty. when she was fighting the cancer that would kill her. his children's mom. no feeling, no respect.
the deceit.
the siphoning of monies to his bimbo. the illegalities involved with that.
the lies and lies and more lies.
this what we would want in the White House?
no, it's not as simple as that lying whore bill clinton fucking the intern. it's having a GODDAMN LIAR as the leader of the free world. or even as a senator.
he's SCUM. he makes cockroaches look like bluebirds.
he has no morals.
he's a dirtbag.
does anyone care about the morals? is he any better than the shitbums i write about in the crime forum? except he's a rich shitbum.

DON'T MORALS COUNT???
didn't most of us grow up being taught some morals?

One of the alternate juries "clearly has been flirting" with Edwards? I just heard that on the news but no details. I can't open that blog post on my phone.

I judge people who have affairs. It's chickenshit, no matter who you are. I expect all people to be decent. They often disappoint me.

No one person's life is any more important than another's. Stupid people don't know this basic human fact, so they made The National Enquirer to make a few bucks off the tards.

It's been so open that she giggles, he blushes and the lawyers smirk.

It's so fucked up beyond belief.

I remember when the Enquirer used to be a frightening little weekly.

He's not married now, is he? Good time to get some jury ass.

Or a great way to gain an acquittal.

this is scary. a flirtatious juror won't cause a mistrial or acquittal, she's an alternate. what's scary is they won't be back until tuesday. good, because dirtbag will be sweating bullets. bad because they are clearly hung up on something. i would have bet money they would have returned a verdict on the friday before a long weekend.

We'll probably find out later that's exactly what happened. He's probably already tapped it.

Good, I hope he has. Because then if the jury comes back deadlocked or acquits, he and his penis can be tried for jury tampering.

I always admired Elizabeth Edwards, I thought she was a class act. When I read that she ripped her shirt off & shouted "look at me" at him, I wanted to nail him in the balls.

I'm getting nervous now too. Tomorrow will be day 8 of deliberations. If they hang or find Edwards not guilty, it'll be on Andrew Young, imo. Young's gotta be near the worst possible star witness a prosecuting attorney could be saddled with. Lied to the public about Edwards' activity. Lied to both "donors"; neither knew the other was paying for some of the same expenses for Hunter. Lied to Elizabeth Edwards. Lied and claimed he was the father of Hunter's baby. Snagged some of the donors' moneys and paid for home construction. Profited off his wrong-doings with a tell-all book. The list goes on...

Worried that the Defense did a very good job putting Young's character and greediness on trial; creating doubt that Edwards knew everything that Young was doing. Hoping the jury is stuck on only one or two counts and clear on the most direct ones. Edwards is guilty of campaign fraud and deserves some jail time, imo.

this is strange!

The judge in the corruption trial of John Edwards sent the four alternate jurors home Wednesday, after their odd behavior made headlines as the jury deliberations dragged on.

The alternates don't need to return unless a juror has to be excused, but Judge Catherine Eagles told them they still should not discuss the case. The alternates gave audible sigh of relief.

"Everyone in the courtroom will miss your cheerful faces," Eagles said. "We will regret not knowing the color for tomorrow."

Last week, the four alternate jurors began wearing color-coordinated shirts, with bright yellow shirts on Thursday followed by red on Friday. They took a break from the routine Tuesday but on Wednesday were back at it, wearing purple.

The jury deliberations are well into their second week, as legal analysts begin to wonder whether the panel has deadlocked.

They all should have lost their positions as alternates immediately.

It's one thing to have supporters of a defendant doing something like that but it's quite another when jurors do it.
