Yes it is yet another tradition the yanks have cherry picked from Europe, the same as all their other American traditions, culture and cuisine all cherry picked from Europe.
Shut up. Next thing you know we'll see you whining we took your people too and say the whole idea of emigrating to America from Europe was some kind of kidnapping scheme.

Without European culture American culture wouldn't exist.

Period.

Get over it.

My boys gave me a bouquet of roses and a nice card. Youngest made me a pretty card at school.

I experienced the birth of a child three times first hand. I take my hat off to anyone that will damn near kill themselves to create another life. Happy Mothers Day to you all... yeah even you, Ramsey

Who's upset over it? You're the only one complaining.

She wasn't a nice woman.

She never, never showed her love.

She was verbally and physically abusive beyond reproach.

She never conveyed thanks in any way for the care and support I provided for her during her last three years of life when my siblings did nothing.

And yet, in some funny little way, I still loved her.

She was my mother.
Wow, is that really true? That's fucked up if so. A mother that NEVER showed her love? ::wait::

It's true.

I always thought, with the extreme hatred sheexhibited for her father, that something may have happened to her by him when she was younger. Could have fucked her up pretty bad. I do know she was out of the house at 14, got married, and gave birth to my oldest sister at age 15. Strange into today's world but not so strange in the farming communities of Montana and Wyoming in the late 30's, early 40's.

I don't think I have a copyright on fucked up parents.
