Yep, grew up there in the wonderful Rheingau. Wiesbaden to be precise. Explains why I started drinking at such an early age and spend my childhood in pool halls. Then again, I'm born Hungarian, so that could be also the reason.

The Hartz is definitely one of our future holiday destinations. One of Germany's few adventure areas. I'm sure the daughter would love it and if she get's lost there, at least I know whom to contact thru the net.

I shall call my woman Brunhilde and come running to the rescue as Siegfried. Jawohl!

Oh, Wiesbaden, I love that region. Hate the Riesling, love the Spätburgunder (Pinot noir). The drinking at early ages is 100% Hessian, but I guess the pool halls could be from your Hungarian heritage... Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

Ha, tell your daughter if she gets lost in the Harz, just walk downhill, the next village should be reached soon enough. And if she sees a really, really big cat with pointy ears - she should not move! (j/k - the lynx would probably be more frightened than your daughter)

But seriously, if you get to that part of Germany, let me know - I know a few really nice spots where a person so inclined can be adventureous with a side of reckless - or just chill to one's heart's content.

I have it too. Headache, runny nose and a burning cough. I feel like shit and the snot is neverending, I blow my nose and five seconds later it's back.
