Abbott has had a pretty lousy scorecard for a long time before the Vic election, Loosey, I'm sure you noticed before then? But he hasn't done much worse than his predecessors. The most frustrating thing about politics in this country is the importance of policy now runs a far cry second to the popularity contest being played out on social media.

Victoria is now stuck in the same place as the senate; non-sensical alliances being played out to push aside important policy for the sake of minority policy to secure the popular vote. It was good to see the Greens show a bit of force, but a shame they sold their souls via Labor preferences to get there. Hopefully they don't fuck it all up like the Federal Labor party did.

Well, I guess I should have given a caveat on that. I just read that Abbott's bill for cuts to Universities and higher fees was defeated in the Senate. A win for sensible there at least.
