So I've been doing a little decorating today & I'm putting up a small tree in the den, I have Christmas carols playing & all of the sudden I hear a black guy singing "Santa Claus goes right to the ghetto". What the fuck is that, just what the fuck is that!

Cracker, if you're reading, I think you should go kick James Brown's ass.

Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.
Pitch up your reindeer. Uh!
Go straight to the ghetto.
Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.

And every stockings you buy,
The kids are gonna love you. So, Uh!

Leave a toy for Johnny.
Leave a dog for Mary.
Leave something pretty for Donnie.
And don't forget about Gary.

Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.
Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.
Tell him James Brown sent you. Ha!
Go straight to the ghetto.

You know that I know that you will see
Cause' that was once. Me.

Hit it! Hit it!
You see mothers and soul brothers.

Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.
Santa Clause, oh lord, go straight to the ghetto.
And every stockings you buy,
The kids are gonna love you.

So, pick up a stocking you find.
You'll know they need you.
So, I'm begging you Santa Clause,
Go straight to the ghetto.

If anyone wanna know,
Tell him James Brown told you.

So, Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.
Never thought I realized, I'll be singing a song
With one of you. My!
Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.

Don't leave nothing for me.
I have you. Can't you see?
Santa Clause, go straight to the ghetto.
Santa Clause, the soul brothers need you.

So, Santa Clause, tell him James Brown sent you...

Friday.

No snow...it slowed my computer down to less than a crawl. Too bad, because I liked the snow. Would much rather see it on Mock than in my front yard.

Is it too early to turn Mock's Christmas lights on? Majority rules on this, I'll check back later and tally up the yea's & nays.

I agree that Friday makes sense for Mock, but it's not too early in LA. Capitol Records building tree is up and lit already.

Wish I could've gotten the whole street from outside for you, would've been a really great shot - lots of lights. But, LAPD was all over me as soon as I parked and before I could even open my door to get out and snap (too close to offramp). They were cool and didn't give me a ticket, but told me to scoot so I had to shoot through my windshield.

I'm glad to see you made it safely to LA, Hot D.

Cool photo, I've only ever seen that on television.

As I mentioned you take great shots HotD, but be safe in taking them, don't do dangerous things and get hurt on our account.

Thanks, Carsman. Smiley_emoticons_bussi

I don't have a very good eye, but it's fun. I took a ton for me and my nephew. No danger, just kinda dumb-tired at the end of the drive. I think PD was probably looking for drunk drivers and just got a goofy one instead...

I'm not much on holiday decorations, but LOVE the look and especially the sound of the Mock shattering Christmas lights, Duchess.

Thank you!

I'm having so much fun with the Mock lights this morning. Everyone went out to Black Friday sales, except me, my mom and my oldest nephew. Every couple of minutes, I click on one of the lights and my nephew screams at Toby (the feisty kitty) and he goes looking around for whatever's broken. My mom keeps telling me to click another one. We'll tell him soon, probably. 39

Hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Love the lights Duchess and how they twinkle and then discovering they shatter, that was fun!

Thanks!

While I usually say screw christmas, I do dig the lights. Or at least I dig breaking the lights. In fact I just let my grandson break them a few times and he digs them also. Thanks Duch!
