GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE, OR DO THEY?

I don't understand the part about the stairway door being opened. Can you elaborate?

Sure.

From what I understand, Campos had to go to the 32nd floor originally because a door leading to a stairwell had been opened or tampered with.

According to my conspiracy theory, this was the trigger mechanism to begin the operation.

Paddock opens/tampers with door.

Campos knows he’ll need to ‘go check it out.’

He can then radio that he’s taken fire, but tells everyone else to stay away until cops arrive.

At that point, he and Paddock know they’ll have 5-15 minutes to unleash their carnage.

I mean, to me, 2 windows broken out is the real tell-tale sign that there were 2 shooters.

I don’t know, it’s probably far-fetched, but I don’t think it’s been dis-proven yet.

And, by the way, Campos is MIA as of this morning.

Thanks!

I half-assed listen to the 60 Minutes interview the first responders gave. They talked about the stairwell door next to the shooters room being screwed shut.

I hope Jesus has nothing to do with this horror. I haven't been paying good enough attention.

Thanks MS.

I still think the theory that Jesus Campos was an accomplice of Paddock is very far-fetched given everything we know about what happened and the fact that much or all of it should be on hotel surveillance footage.

I read some alternative sites and comments this morning and see that you're far from alone in suspecting Jesus Campos. I do not blame him one bit for deciding to cancel his media appearances in light of all the baseless accusations against him, the back and forth between LE and the hotel ownership, the changing timeline, and what happened to Richard Jewell.

Anyway, you're right -- your theory can't be fully disproven. But, there's zero evidence known to the public which points to Campos as a perpetrator. Everything that's been released thus far instead points towards Campos being an innocent victim of Paddock and helpful to LE. We'll see if that changes.

Here's an interview with the maintenance engineer who says he was warned by injured Campos to take cover while Paddock was shooting through his hotel door.

Jesus Campos (second from right) is shown accepting an award from the International Union of Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America on Monday.

It would be common sense on Jesus part to give that serious thought.

Yeah, I agree. He's wise to stay out of the spotlight for the time being.

Schuck seems legit and sincere in his version of events.

I don’t, however, like the way Campos looks in his photo from Monday.

He has the Muslim beard going and not a ton of Latinos wear their beards that way.

His eyes also look vacant.

And, I really would like to know exactly where on his body he was shot.

After the last shooting(s) involving modified or semi automatic weapons I'm sooooo over those. I'd be delighted, absolutely THRILLED if they were federally banned and collected. It doesn't mean jack to do anything state by state.

What I don't think people are paying enough attention to is our First Amendment rights. Our loony Commander in Briefs would regulate the (fake news) media if he possibly could. And the cultural word police...

I heard bits and pieces of the Archie Bunker show a week or two ago and it really demonstrated to me how fucking sensitive and pc we've become. He called Mike (I think that was his name) a faggot, made fun of him, I think he used the term spic etc. We've gone ass backwards! Speech is MUCH more restrictive today. It all started with those whining negro, niggers, dammit.

I disagree with your ignorant bony white ass, user.

It's clear to me that a lot of people are paying major attention to threats on First Amendment rights, now more than ever.

We're dealing with a president who labels all factual news which is unfavorable to him as "fake". A president who completely ignores the reasons given by black athletes who participate in silent and peaceful protests and instead puts words in their mouths by claiming they're unpatriotic flag-haters who should be fired for exercising their First Amendment rights in a way he doesn't like. He often does this at the same time he's spewing complete and easily proven bullshit and issuing threats to restrict the free press in the United States.

In my opinion, those are real and more important threats than what you consider a politically correct infringement on your right to refer to blacks as 'niggas' or 'niggers'.............. or wherever you're at with that internal struggle.

Your rights to call blacks 'niggers', and Hispanics 'spics', and women 'cunts', and all that jazz.......are as secure as they ever were. It's just that the First Amendment rights of others to express their lack of respect for your thinking and talking like Archie Bunker did 40 years ago (which even then was funny because it was ignorant and unabashed) are secure as well.

Anyway, I do agree that the people paying major attention to First Amendment protections are often not the same people who are incredibly focused on trying to defend and define every firearm and accessory as constitutionally protected by the Second Amendment (which they're clearly not).

He was shot in the right leg.

Campos does look vacant in the pic. However, he's been through a hell of a lot and almost immediately became the subject of terrible speculation despite LE's praise of his actions.

Campos laid low and said he "was just doing his job" from the start. But, it seems like his Union and the media were pushing him to do interviews more aggressively as the timeline and LE statements continued to shift.

If he was involved with Paddock in any way, it will come out (and I'll be surprised). But, if Campos just wasn't ready to face the cameras or didn't want people digging into all aspects of his life and that's why he went back to laying low, good for him.

A Maryland woman seriously wounded during this month’s worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history woke up from a coma Friday.

Tina Frost, 27, was at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas with her boyfriend on Oct. 1 when she was shot once in the forehead.

Doctors had to remove Frost’s right eye and part of her skull to remove bullet fragments, according to The Baltimore Sun.

“She’ll have pieces of the bullet in her brain forever,” Frost’s mother, Mary Moreland, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

After waking up Friday, Frost seemed to be in good spirits and took her first steps since the shooting.

“She opens her left eye just a [little] and looks all around the room at us, taps her feet whenever music is playing, continues to squeeze our hands, and even gives Austin a thumbs up when asked,” a family spokesperson said in a statement given to Washington, D.C., station WJLA. “She sometimes taps to music and also took her first steps today with the assistance of the nurses ― three steps to the chair and three steps back to the bed.”

Frost was also able to sit in a chair and has a new teddy bear that she “hugs and pats on the back,” the spokesperson told the station.

A GoFundMe campaign for Frost has already raised more than $500,000 for her long road to recovery.

“We’ve heard people ask, ‘Well, why does she need all that money?’” Frost’s cousin, Randi Moreland, said at a fundraising event. But there’s a lot of expenses people don’t realize. She’ll need a lot of long-term help.”

Great to hear she survived. Sounds like she’ll face a lot of challenges for the rest of her life, but she’s got a strong support system.

I don’t understand why some people would be questioning why she needs the money that was willingly donated just because she’s regained consciousness. Those people are just asshole busybodies, I suspect.

Just another person whose life has been changed forever, and of course, her family’s life as well.

But, it’s the price of freedom folks.

She could’ve just as easily been hit by a drunk driver and the outrage would be negligible.

To infringe upon American citizens’ god-given rights to own AR-15’s and the like, with 30 round magazines, would be the more heinous act.

I mean, how would we ever protect our homes from criminals and a government just waiting to oppress us?

So, let’s not even mention the next mass shooting when it happens, because it’s the price of freedom.

Maybe people going on vaca should think about vacationing in a "gun free" zone where it's "safe" like Detroit.

I know you're being sarcastic MS and I totally get what you're saying.

There have been so many historical natural disasters going down lately, yet none in this country has yet cost as many lives as the Las Vegas shooter, with the exception of Hurricane Harvey.

Your post reminded me of some news I read last week for some reason -- a woman who survived the Vegas massacre ended up losing her home in the Santa Rosa wildfire only a couple of weeks later. Another woman survived the San Bernadino mass shooting and ended up being a target in the Vegas mass shooting. What are the odds? Not as long as they used to be -- too much shit going down.

I also read about why many hotel security guards in Las Vegas aren't armed and how gaming security is likely to change greatly and quickly (the impact of the Vegas massacre on tourism is still being assessed).

As many times as I've been to Vegas, it wasn't until I read this piece that I realized I'd hardly ever seen a cop in any of the casinos, despite all the shady characters in the joints. http://nypost.com/2017/10/14/shifting-la...s-on-edge/

Campos still missing.

MGM and his union were definitely encouraging him to do the 5 interviews last week.

Apparently, while waiting to meet with Hannity, he left saying he was going to Urgent Care.

No clinics in the area have any record of him having visited an Urgent Care.

For a guy with nothing to hide, he’s acting pretty weird.

Jesus might just be barricaded at home because he's not up for the pressure that's being put on him. http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-jesu...story.html

I'd be surprised if Metro Police and the FBI don't know exactly where he is -- he's a key witness in a major investigation. It wouldn't surprise me if they do not want him talking about the case publicly.

But, it's possible that he fled because he has something to hide.

Anyway, I'm interested in what he has to say too when he's ready/able to talk on public record.
