I'm relieved that LE caught the terrorist piece of shit, and I'm also glad to see that NYC is carrying on with its Halloween Parade.


Authorities found a note in the truck Sayfullo Saipov ^ allegedly used in the New York terror attack claiming he did it in the name of ISIS, a senior law enforcement official told CNN. The note was in English, the source said.

He drove a rental truck drove down a busy bicycle path in New York near the World Trade Center, killing eight people and injuring about a dozen others in what officials said was an "act of terror."

After crashing the truck into a school bus, the suspect exited the vehicle while displaying imitation firearms and was shot in the abdomen by a police officer, according to the NYPD.

The suspect, a 29-year-old man, is in police custody and was taken to a hospital for treatment, officials said.

Saipov is from the central Asian nation of Uzbekistan and came to the United States in 2010.

The incident is being investigated as terrorism, officials said. Witnesses reported the suspect was yelling "Allahu Akbar," according to four law enforcement sources. The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is taking over the lead of the investigation.

Good to read Jesus Campos is well enough to return to work. But, I hope no conspiracy theorist whack jobs try to track down Campos at the Mandalay Bay.

Jesus Campos went back to working security at Mandalay Bay Hotel on Monday, a month after he was wounded during the October 1 Las Vegas massacre that left 58 dead.

Campos has been staying at the MGM-owned property from the time of the shooting rampage, due to intense media and for his own protection.

The 25-year-old security guard who was born in Southern California and moved to Las Vegas as a teenager, has been staying at an unnamed MGM Resorts property since October 4^th.

MGM officials and Campos himself have been tight-lipped about the exact sequence of events, and the convalescing security guard has been kept away from the media, save for one public appearance on a daytime talk show.

A MGM official added: 'He went from being a private citizen with no attention to suddenly being in the spotlight, and it was overwhelming while he was trying to recover from the tragedy.'

Police had visited Campos at the hospital and given him the all-clear for a pre-planned and company-approved trip to Mexico, which he took shortly after the shooting.

Last week, MGM released new audio from the night of the shooting to ABC, but it is unclear when the recording was made.

In the audio, Campos can be heard saying, 'Hey, there's shots fired in, uh, [floor] 32 [room] 135.'

A crackling sound that could be gunfire from Paddock's rifles - some of which were modified to fire at auto speed - can be heard behind his voice.

A month after the incident, however, there are still lingering questions about the timeline of the shooting, which has changed several times.

It is still unclear whether Paddock shot Campos before firing on the country music festival, or during the rampage.

I hope investigators get a lot info out of Saipov. Pulling a paint ball and BB gun after running down innocent cyclists; seems he planned to suicide by cop.

Six of the 8 fatal victims have been identified.

It's not surprising to me at all that you believe that Biggie.

According to his lawyer and non-conspiracy media, Campos is an American citizen who was born in Paramount City. That's not hard to believe and it's very easy for LE to verify.

I don't know for sure that he was licensed, but we do know that Campos is a member of the Security, Police, and Fire Professionals of America union.

Personally, I feel for the guy. No good deeds go unpunished and all. He's the subject of terrible baseless speculation and the media was all over his ass. And, it appears to me that LE, his union, and his employer tried to pull him in different directions.

I hope he can be allowed to get back to his life and do his job without being harassed.

The other two fatal victims of last night's terror attack in NYC have now been publicly identified. Both are American citizens.


^ Darren Drake, 32, from New Jersey was biking between work meetings to try to lose weight and was hit.

His family say he was likely listening to an audio book through his headphones when he was hit and would not have heard the terrified screams of people behind him.


^ Nicholas Cleves, 23, was a recent college graduate from Manhattan. His relatives have been too distraught to speak about his death.
