It contained only this sentence:

'After nine days I let the horse run free, cuz the desert had turned to sea.'

Actually, that narrows down his potential location. Dorner must be somewhere where there are plants and birds, and rocks and things; with sand and hills and rings. And since he obviously loves America, that rules out Mexico. Right?
