That and being poor and mom refusing to buy junk food. Cutting out snack before bed and breakfast helped as well. Its good to be hungry.

I used to eat a snack before bed, I've been skipping breakfast since college even when I didn't sleep in until noon. Which I've also haven't mostly been doing since Lent. Giving up messageboards and Facebook frees up alot of your time and takes away reasons for staying up late.
