Powerbroking my ass. I LOVE that the whole world is watching these clowns and their shitshow.

That's exactly what powerbroking is. Do you think that sort of process is democratic? Hell no. He's a powerbroker who can't get it done, hence my comment that this is a slap in the face to powerbroking. The process should be democratic, with no wheeling and dealing. It isn't, and never has been, because democracy is a fairytale just like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. It doesn't have to be that way, but it is.
I beg your pardon.

Catfight
Matt Gaetz nominated trump for Speaker of the House.

These are not serious minded individuals & they are not worthy of the positions they hold.
That was the Nut House, right? He’s perfect for that! hah
Lame joke I heard:

Q:  How many McCarthy's does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A:  He needs a house first.

Going on the 4th day and  10th or 11th vote.  Idk anymore,  I lost count.

Vermin Supreme for prez, 2024!
Today will bring the 12th vote. *snicker*

There really isn't anything funny about this, but that doesn't keep me from being amused.

Garfield was chosen to be the Republican nominee on the 36th vote.
After 15 rounds of voting, McCarthy finally has the gavel.

I know most of you didn't pay any attention at all to this clown show, but for those of you who did, this is a small taste of what's to come. McCarthy had to give away all his power in order to get that gavel and he gave it to some of the most extreme members on the right.

...and he praised trump in his speech.
He finally made enough backdoor deals, huh?  Why do I feel like the phrase 'buckle up buttercup ' comes into play here?

The same people who voted not to certify our election are now in charge. They didn't care a wit about the will of the people and now they control OUR House.
This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.
I don't think so. These idiots are not well-organized and they showed their hand too soon. They were like Dr Evil asking for one million dollars. If anything all they did was show the disarray the GOP is going to be in for the next two years, especially if Gaetz, Jordan, Greene, and a couple of the other key seditionists get indicted. This alt-right thing is a toothless dragon right now, and almost all of Trump's middle ground support has left him. He couldn't even call off his dogs in this matter, he tried days ago.
Most likely what will happen is two years of stagnation in the house and a lot of stupid Hunter Laptop stuff until it dies an empty quiet death like all the other bullshit. Then the election cycle will wind up again and everything will be about ageism or criminal history, unless that dickhead DeSantis gains momentum. ?
I don't see him gaining any momentum outside of Florida. He only plays well to a certain group.
Yeah but there's a lot of that certain group in a lot of the same rural douchebag states that went Trumpy. And if Fox gets behind ol' DeathSentence, could be troublesome. He's getting a lot of props for thumbing his nose at Biden.
I saw a bit on Facebook about the gavel vote saying that the only reason Gaetz finally flipped his vote was because once it reached fifteen he was no longer interested in screwing it. I laughed a little too hard at that....
Guess what the republicans debated on the House floor yesterday? Guess! The first amendment offered by a filthy republican was about making stricter the rules for women and what they are allowed to wear on the House floor.
Shut up
That is so republican. ( I was about to say ridiculous)
