I don't like that weather extreme either. My mom owns a place in Palm Springs that she visits year-round. I refuse to go there in the summer--it's so hot you can't breathe when you're outside.

I'm glad I got out of Ohio when I did. There was a picture in our local paper this morning of Cincinnati--I don't think they got much snow but apparently it fucked up the whole town.
It's a lovely fall day here in NE Indiana. 12 degrees and -16 wind chill.

I can hardly wait to see what winter brings. Sarcastic

With my wind chill today it makes it 40 degrees warmer here. HarHar. I ran over a puddle and heard ice cracking.
There are driving bans literally west and south of me. Us..we got about 6 flakes. A friend about an hour away cannot get out her front door

My local news ticker says Buffalo is getting 4" an hour, or somewhere around there. That's your area isn't it QB?

Holy shit. It's really coming down.

I might like seeing that if I didn't have to drive in it.

Sort of. Buffalo about 60 miles west of Rochester, where I live. Batavia , my home town, is between us, and is also getting hammered. We got about an inch.
Snow and men; the only time women complain about how many inches they did or didn't get..
It's really cold here. But not as cold as NY. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Cars, you're late to the cold weather party.

We've had lows of: 4, 1, 3, 5 and 5 since Friday.

Tonight it stays warm at 6, but tomorrow were forecasted to get our first negative number of the season, bottoming out at -1.

Hopefully, it's heading your way.

That's why I don't live where you do, too damn COLD! hah

(And no, no, that's OK, it's too generous of you, you can keep your -1! )

This is cool. It shows the lake effect snow moving in.

The New York State Thruway, 132 miles of it still remain closed.

For some reason I wanna shovel Duchess out. I would bring supplies of coarse and we could look at the dum dums on T.V. and laugh, laugh, laugh. Later I would brush off her car, then say No, fuck that.

Umm...

Total snow noob here. How the fuck do you stop all that snow stacked up against your door like that from running into your house when it melts? I wouldn't imagine a towel rolled up at the sill would cut it.

I haven't had snow like that since I was a kid in the North Country. The land of snow & ice where people plugged their vehicles in so they would start the next time. When it snows here I get out my broom or use my blower to blow the patio and walkway off. I haven't had many big snows here. It would be fun to be snowed in with you Maggottyboo, you're right, we would laugh & laugh.
