Same way as any other addictive personality. They have someone enabling them. I watched a thing on this guy on Discovery Fit & Health (what an oxymoron there). He was unable to get out of his house, so how did he get all the food? Someone bought it for him...and prepared it for him.
I think the thing about him being a choice making adult may be taken too far here as far as his health goes. Someone needs to slap these people upside the head and say ENOUGH already.
I mean, a bit different, but my hubby is diabetic..and I do all the shopping. I am careful not to buy a lot of crap foods. His doctor has said that an occasional cookie or serving of potatoe chips will not kill him, but he has to be careful. SO, if I do have chips in the house, I always tell him I will serve them up..I put SOME in a bowl for him, do not give him the whole bag. Because I know if I just hand him the bag he will eat the whole thing in one sitting. He has a fit sometimes, but I just say that I will not be a party to him eatting more than he should.
The brain thinks it needs more even when the stomach is full. Eat just a little wait 20 min. then the craving goes away. Try it sometime when you are super hungry.
I wish I didn't feel compelled to make a snarky comment about those size people. I don't think anyone wants to be that big & obviously it's not something they are capable of controlling. I would never diss anyone who was very sick yet this has got to be some kind of sickness, whether physically or mentally. All that oozing fat is both mesmerizing and as gross as it can be.

OK, here is the issue I have..he is NEKKED. Yes the rolls and folds cover little willy and all...but he is still nekked. Does this concern anyone else? If I were THAT big, no way I would sit there and let them take my picture to post on the internet. Especially since I know the picture would show up on a forum like this with people making snarkey remarks.

That won't happen to you. You leave me with the impression that you like yourself & you are involved in life. I don't think people that get that big are living a life but you are. I see you talk about the things that you do & the places you go. I've seen your photograph, I don't think you are as big as you sometimes portray yourself.
