I just got a phone call from a guy that wanted me to go there and set up a shop for him in Dubai 4 years ago. He left a message saying he just flew in and I will report back on what he thinks of all this unrest. I will add that when I got a pizza last year he would not eat it because it had sausage and pepperoni on it. This may be interesting. He smokes hash like it was tobacco. Funny S.O.B.

I like clad. I don't think he's as old as he states in his profile (yeah, I looked one time, not sure why). I think he is close to our ages. He isn't an idiot, he's rather smart, but he is obsessed. I bet his wife withholds sex if he mentions "pyramid" or "hydraulics."

Democratic republics take a lot of thought and practice to make them work. Since they will most likely shun our Constitution due to anti-American sentiment, they will make a fucked up one of their own that they really haven't thought out well. It may not be the paradise they are thinking it will be. Slow change would likely be more of a benefit to them.

I think we should ship all of our illegals to Egypt. They would blend in better. Just an odd thought.

I agree. I think if he abruptly stepped down it would cause more harm than good. But, he needs to formulate/articulate some plan for an election/his departure.

The Mubarak regime tortures Egyptian citizens and his new VP, Suleiman, head of intelligence, is a tyrant, too. The Egyptian people want these bastards out NOW, not later.
Revolutions are dicey events. America was very unique to have geniuses like Thomas Jefferson, Sam Adams, James Madison, et al. I hope for the sake of the Egyptian people that they are blessed with someone of that caliber. Doubt it, though. May they get the freedom they so deserve.

No one would ever with hold sex from me.
Er... ...ah... ...I mean I have no wife.
A lot of people seem to go the other way when the word pyramid arises. In fact I've heard people bend over backward to avoid it like talking about the "food ponzi".
I admit only to be being 21. All my heros admitted to being 21 and what's good enough for WC Fields, Mark Twain, and Kurt Vonnegut is good enough for me. (Did you know Isaac Newton studied the pyramids). ...so it goes. Imhotep studied a great pyramid.
There ya' have it. I'm old enough to legally get turned down and people don't talk about pyramids when I'm around.

Egyptian husbands will soon be legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives - for up to six hours after their death.
The controversial new law is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament.
It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women's rights of getting education and employment.

Egypt's National Council for Women is campaigning against the changes, saying that 'marginalising and undermining the status of women would negatively affect the country's human development'.
Dr Mervat al-Talawi, head of the NCW, wrote to the Egyptian People’s Assembly Speaker Dr Saad al-Katatni addressing her concerns.
Egyptian journalist Amro Abdul Samea reported in the al-Ahram newspaper that Talawi complained about the legislations which are being introduced under 'alleged religious interpretations'.
The subject of a husband having sex with his dead wife arose in May 2011 when Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death.
He also said that women have the right to have sex with her dead husband, alarabiya.net reported.
It seems the topic, which has sparked outrage, has now been picked up on by Egypt's politicians.
TV anchor Jaber al-Qarmouty slammed the notion of letting a husband have sex with his wife after her death under the so-called 'Farewell Intercourse' draft law.
He said: 'This is very serious. Could the panel that will draft the Egyptian constitution possibly discuss such issues? Did Abdul Samea see by his own eyes the text of the message sent by Talawi to Katatni?
'This is unbelievable. It is a catastrophe to give the husband such a right! Has the Islamic trend reached that far? Is there really a draft law in this regard? Are there people thinking in this manner?'

Do'h.
I just read where their Islamist parliament has proposed a law to allow husbands to have sex with their wives for six hours after death!!! I don't know if it applies to murder or not.
With rigor mortis it might work the other way from 1 hour to four hours.

I'd move to Egypt and just kill her.

I swear I read this thread one post at a time responding where it seemed appropriate.
I just condemned this new law as a sin against nature, their ancestors, and future generations (if there are any) on another site before seeing this thread.

I only admit to be 21.
A buddy of mine from Waukegan has one-upped Jack Benny. Instead of being 39 forever he just keeps moving the year he was born up a year each year. He'll have been born in 1972 next year.
There's a small paradox here, though, since I've known him since before then. Indeed, he had lost most of his hair by that time. A few of my friends could buy booze at as early as 14 since they looked so young. One friend was in a grocery with her mother who was carded for some wine. The mother asked if my friend could buy it without ID and he agreed! She was 14 at the time and her mother was about 33.
Age is mostly a state of mind and I try not to provide a lot of details about me. It doesn't matter really since I yam what I yam and WYSIWYG.

FWIW, the thread about mummies was the first I bookmarked for later, more thorough perusal, mainly due to your contributions in there. Very, very interesting.

While I get that people have different approaches to sexual techniques and stuff... what the hell is the point in that other than necrophilia, which I seriously can't imagine is a thing an entire nation is into?

Heh, someone remind me to google the occurances of strangulation/hanging as a cause of death in male Egyptians 2 years from now...
Quote:With rigor mortis it might work the other way from 1 hour to four hours.
Not really, as far as I know. Rigor mortis starts at the eyelids and then kind of wanders downwards, plus, moving of the body part in question within 14 hrs after death will interrupt the process of rm, so a woman inclined to, ah, "express her love" to her deceased husband under this law would have a hard time managing it.

Makes sense to me, basically because the law wouldn't have made a lick of sense to me.
