there really isn't a "usually". but in some cases people are taken to a basement to separate them from others (Clutter case Kansas) or to muffle noise neighbors could hear.

It's the southwestern suburbs of Toledo.

Right, he said (Lisa's uncle) "they did have a security system, that had been deactivated" ... It almost sounds like the security system not even been used... it's in one of the interviews with Mr Verbosky. I'll try to find the exact wording.

Then as Johnnie fought with them, Lisa ran upstairs to the panic button by the bed or was upstairs over hearing the commotion and went engage the alarm...IMO
Also then, even if central monitoring was not currently employed a siren and a phone call would still go out audible to surrrounding homes and possibly a call to notify someone, not necesarily police, but someone. IMO

I don't understand why some believe there wasn't always an intent to kill? Would a gang home invasion of people that know each other just end up with a couple tied up, able to talk? I think there's no way they would leave anyone alive to testify. I think the moment the perps put their plan into action, death was their intended outcome for the victims.

And I also don't get the idea that if one believes Tiff is involved that she somehow missed an opportunity to save JC & LS. If she was in on it, saving them from dying would be a betrayal of the gang and she would be the next target. She would not be "riding hard" for her gang friends if she aligned herself with the victims.

I don't think there are reluctant participants here. I think Tiff was either in it all the way or completely uninvolved.

I think original plan was tape them up, take their shit, tiff shows up later as a hero to let them out of the tape. the murders left garage door up so tiff could enter. she goes in and sees it went very wrong, starts to panick as well as get her story staight.

I don't get the part about thieves bringing plastic bags to carry the loot out...that seems too far-fetched to me. Most homes have plenty of bags or other carrying devices.

And I also have always believed that the murders were intentional - as opposed to maybe "ripping a hole in the bag" so they could survive. If JC and LS had survived, imagine the shit that would roll when it was reported...and not likely that LS would've kept quiet, even if JC hadn't wanted to (to not snitch).
