Like I said a few days ago, there is someone among the fb friends that is doing four years for trafficking in heroin. Happened fairly recent, and it is in the court records. So drug of choice or not, it is a viable commodity or this individual would not have been dealing with it.

Here is a recent article talking about prescription drugs. Oxycontin is the same as Percocets, I believe.

Overdose deaths climb as painkillers, heroin pour into Ohio market
Published: Sunday, February 20, 2011, 6:00 AM

As the more potent painkillers have flooded the market -- making them easier for some suburban teens to score than beer -- demand for purer heroin has also boomed, causing drug poisoning deaths to swell by more than 350 percent statewide since 1999.

Prescription opiates like OxyContin are basically just pharmaceutical-grade heroin, said Orman Hall, director of Ohio's Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services. They are the most addictive substance that anyone can get hooked on.

"The heroin problem is driven by the prescription drug problem," he said.

The local news did do a piece last night on heroin specifically. Not coke, not meth etc etc so I'm guessing, because I don't deal with drugs in any way shape or form, that it is, in this area, the drug of choice.

YES! I 100% completely agree! Everything about her interviews, FB messages, etc leads me to believe she knows a hell of a lot more than she's sharing with LE or anyone else. Now, I don't believe she was involved at all, like some seem to think, but I do think she knows SOMETHING and is maybe not sharing to keep herself safe? Afraid of what may happen if she comes out and reveals info. Instead she'll just put curses on everyone!

Buying oxycontin off the street is more expensive than buying heroin. So is that taking pills orally makes it more acceptable and when they prove to be so expensive people go on to heroine because its cheaper even though the way to get it into your body is less desirable?

'curious'...I agree with that, I remember her on the TV interview refusing to answer any questions about JCs arrest or record. She would not last long on Mock because her reactions to probing questions would go from evasive to threatening and then being "banned" for direct threats.

I am and have always been on the same page as the two of you . I agree there is something she is hiding ... I think she knows who is responsible for these murders but cannot turn them in because she will put herself and her other children at risk .

I know how you feel. Each day, after noon, 5,6 and 11pm, I feel so deflated that there were no arrests announced on the news. If this is how WE feel...can you imagine how the families feel? My heart just breaks for them :(

I can not imagine how the Straubs must feel when that LE said
that it was provoked by the victims. That is about as mean a
thing to say as I can recall coming from LE.

Thanks, will do. Appreciate being pointed in the right direction. It
really showed the toll crack takes on addicts.

I wouldn't be surprised if they voice their opinions about that comment...not publicly per say, but to whom made the comment. But something tells me, they'll wait until the case is cracked, and then speak their minds to make sure their daughters character was not discredited.
