Did the removal of God

I'm just wondering how anyone can miss the scientific significance. Especially if you remove it from the earth yourself and see that it came from a certain layer of uplifted rock.

And that's exactly what the problem is with the world, it's not taking God out of schools. Please believe me when I tell you, that I am leading this conversation. Mindless indeed. Having said that I leave you to ponder the immenseness of an accident, a freak happening, a giant collision of astral bodies whose existence cannot be explained. A completeness of design so complex it has perplexed the human mind for thousands of years and continues to do the same today. Technology cannot capture the accident, reproduce it nor can it conceive the depths of it.

How does someone blame another for their own actions. Am I missing something here? This is why I think there are so many sucky parents out there. I've known about personal responsibility since I was a little kid.

After many strange looks, I figured out they were 100% absolutely serious. Crime/punishment mentality is really for children. Once kids hit about 13, you expect them to move up the reasoning scale, but it just doesn't happen around here. You would crap, Duchess. I have some very dear friends who believe it. We can't discuss religion AT ALL. They are fun as hell to party with. We all get drunk as shit and hit on men, but those loose Georgia crackers will surely get to blaming the Devil if they feel badly about it. (They mostly don't, btw, I am the tame one.)

Well the solution to that is to write a story book that supposedly fell from the sky and teach our children to practice absurd rituals in church so they feel confident knowing they won't burn in hell.

i don't know what is wrong with me. i'm an otherwise intelligent person. but i believe in God and Jesus and everything i was taught. plus i believe in dinosaurs and the history of the earth as has been recorded in the earth. so i'm a dumbass, but it makes me comfortable to accept all that. even if it makes no scientific sense. sometimes faith must be taken on faith.
i don't try to make anyone else believe anything. except my kids. i made them believe in being honest and decent or i would kill their asses.

The problem isn't the belief, it is the delivery. You can't expect ancient peoples to explain things in detail using correct vernacular and metric units. Most other religions understand the ideas are allegorical. The problem isn't the message, it is the Word that is taken as literal and factual by some people.
I know some smart people who are Christians. They made room for for science and religion. And they eat bacon because they understand that we can now preserve meats. Very few people abide by ALL the rules for humanity listed in the Bible. They cherry pick what they want to do or believe, but they leave in the stupid stuff. That is what amazes me.

i have taken my morals from all kinds of places...from Buddha to Aesop's fables to Bible stories, Grimm's fairy tales, Uncle Remus, anyplace where there are stories told and lessons taught. it's a process. it started from when i learned to read to today. we are products of what we absorbed from the telling of tales. which is ancient ritual in itself.

I get mine off a cereal box. So far I understand that I am fortified with vitamins and minerals in two languages. And that fiber does wonders for my digestion.
