Could have fooled me but yes, I like that much better.

If you'd fetch me some dinner now, I'd be REALLY happy.

Sounds like latent homosexual thoughts.

It reminded me of the movie Cannibal Holocaust.

McQueary is still in his coaching position, but I don't believe he will be for long. The following article about sums it up for me:

"So, when McQueary entered that locker room like he had so many times before, there is no doubt that what he came upon would bewilder, frighten, and possibly confuse anybody of right mind who stumbled upon it.

There can't possibly be anything that would prepare you to see something that egregious in the realm of humanity. On its base, I feel for McQueary for having to witness it. However, in comparison to how I feel for the unnamed, faceless ten year old boy that was treated to the business end of sodomy by a sadistic, purely evil, predator, McQueary was treated to ice cream that night. And that is why his cowardice in fleeing the situation is as high in culpability as the perpetration of the crime itself. Something in McQueary's head told him that running to his office to call his father to ask what to do was the prudent move. Something in his father's head thought the prudent thing to do would be to have his son leave the building and come over to the house to discuss it.

He is said to be a "leader." What a frighteningly sad reality it is when a community as large as Penn State's can so horrendously mischaracterize someone who's stature on the sidelines of every Penn State game is as evident as Joe Pa himself. A leader sternly and angrily screams into that shower to stop. A leader grabs the closest towel or blanket and scoops that boy up, running at break neck speed to the closest area hospital while feverishly dialing 911 on their cell phone. A leader might take a moment to knock out Jerry Sandusky with repeated blows so when the police arrive on scene, he'll still be there, right at the scene of the crime. A leader stands up. Leaders don't cower. Leaders don't run to daddy to ask for advice. Yeah, let's mull it over in front of the family fire place over cocoa while a ten year old endures a life-changing, earth-shattering assault. Lets look out for my own rear end by, in essence, protecting someone who in 2002, didn’t even work there anymore."

Cheyne, thanks for posting that. IMO that yahoo editorial is right on the money. I can't imagine walking in on that situation and not getting that child out of there.

Makes me wonder who Sandusky will "rat out" before it's all over. I'll bet there are a lot of people quietly lawyering up, fearing the shit's about to hit their fan.

Now the hammer falls on McQueary.

Penn State coach who saw alleged sex assault placed on leave
By the CNN Wire Staff

University Park, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- The Penn State football coach who alerted head coach Joe Paterno in 2002 that he'd seen a former defensive coordinator sexually assault a boy -- an allegation authorities didn't learn of until years later -- was placed on "indefinite" leave Friday, the school's interim president said.

[snip]

On Friday, acting President Rodney Erickson announced that he and newly named Athletic Director Mark Sherburne made the decision to put McQueary on administrative leave. A day earlier, the school athletic department said McQueary would not coach in Saturday's game against Nebraska due to "multiple threats" against him.

"It became clear that Coach McQueary could not function in this role, under these circumstances," Erickson said of the decision.

The mother of the boy who triggered the investigation into Jerry Sandusky's alleged child sex assaults says that during the years of abuse the boy suffered he felt he didn't have the power to say no to the former Penn State football coach.

"I had said, 'You know, maybe we should have come to this conclusion earlier -- you should have told me,'" the mother, whose name is being withheld, said she told her son. "He was like, 'Well, I didn't know what to do … you just can't tell Jerry no.'"

Sandusky, now 67, would often have the boy stay at his home after they met when he was 11 in 2005 through the Second Mile program, which the coach founded for at-risk youth

Why were these boys staying at Sandusky's home in the first place? I can understand the boys going to football camps and attending Penn State games through the Second Mile, but didn't anyone (including Sandusky's wife, Dottie) think it was odd that Jerry had these young boys spend the night in his basement? These were local boys, none of them probably lived more than a 15 minute drive from Sandusky's home. It sounds to me like it wasn't only these sexually abused boys that couldn't say NO to Jerry, no one could (or did).

I've been perusing the 'net to see what those who worked with Sandusky had to say about him. This quote is unbelievable:

Asked if the indictments will impact The Second Mile, Dottie Huck, a member of the state board of directors, said “it shouldn’t.”

Speaking personally, Huck said Sandusky has “done some wonderful things in his lifetime and we should try to help him ... We all make little mistakes in our lives.” Twat

Little mistakes? Anally raping a 10 year old is a little mistake in this woman's mind? Makes one wonder, did she know or suspect what was going on?

That's unbelievable that that woman calls Sandusky's years' long history of raping young boys a "small mistake."

As for parents letting kids sleep over at Sandusky's house, the only way I wouldn't find it odd was if the invitation involved Sandusky's children. If one of Sandusky's kids was at the camp, an invitation like "Bobby and Sam seem to get along well - would Sam like to spend the night?" wouldn't raise any red flags for me.

Agreed Kip. If a child was friends with one of the Sandusky kids, sure it wouldn't seem untoward if they spent the night.

I had read earlier that there was an ice cream dish at The Creamery named after Sandusky (now taken off their menu). I just found this online. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with the show's host, just thought it was food for thought.

"but there was a dessert concoction created called the Sandusky. It was an ice cream cone upside down with two scoops to portray male genitalia. Yeah, that was the Sandusky. Now, what does that mean? It doesn't mean anything. It just means that there were some people laughing about it.

As I say it's the only dessert on the menu at the Penn State Creamery that you didn't have to ask if you wanted nuts on it. That's the Sandusky."

As Limbaugh says, it may or may not mean anything. But it sounds like there was local commonly referenced sexual lore about Sandusky.

De-nile is not just a river in Egypt.

Jerry Sandusky's former daughter-in-law has obtained a legal order barring the ex-Penn State coach from seeing three of his grandchildren. After hearing the horrific charges on November 5, Ms Jones urged her ex-husband to keep the children away from their grandfather, The Daily reported.

Later that day Sandusky's wife Dorothy sent Ms Jones a text message informing her that Matt had taken the children to her State College, Pennsylvania home, but that Sandusky was not present.

Mrs Sandusky also phoned Ms Jones to try to persuade her
that the children would be safe around her husband, the documents said, according to The Daily.

I still can't figure this woman out. Did she really not see what her husband was all the years they were married? If she didn't know (not just denying it but really didn't know) then I feel pretty badly for her. However, I just can't believe that this goes on in your own home and you have no idea.
