Thanks for the welcome Lady Cop, I appreciate that.
I lost track of this case in the winter of last year, so I have been reading up on all the new developments pretty much constantly for the last three or four days.

A fair bit has happened since I last was here; arrests, the anniversary of their deaths, more rantings and more dubious eyebrows!
But seriously, I am glad there has been some arrests, I hope the wheels are in motion to get some justice for the young couple and their loved ones.

I have to say a few things surprised me, like the suing of the Straubs and some of criticisms Maytee has levelled at people. I appreciate that she is a grieving mother in a desperate place in her life, but some of the stuff she has come out with has just amazed me.

The other thing that really got to me was just the level of violent crimes and murders in Toledo. Now I'm living in a small town in England at the moment, where there are a couple a year at most. I lived in London (and other UK big cities for several years) so got used to a fair amount of violent crime, but I didn't expect Toledo to have the levels of those crimes that it does. I suppose I'm just being naive though?

What's up with the sideways wink at Green Ribbon? Noticed you capitalized the "r" in ribbon. Quite out of character LC of the lower-case domain.

They do present quite an elegant prose of the english language. Lovely, descriptive words. Definitely not a Maytee supporter.

I appreciated the welcome Lady Cop.
I am fairly shy, well at least until I know people better.

Plus, after reading through 1300+ pages, one things for certain, there are some pretty formidable posters on here, so I was pretty shy about posting here!

Thanks for the welcome JsMom.
Yeah. I thought that despite the straight talking in places, there was a lot of good humour and people who genuinely care about this case and want justice for Johnny, Lisa and their families.

"Maytee put a quote up by Albert Einstein" -Please, that's something that I thought I would have never heard in my entire life...Mayee and Eienstein being used in the same sentence. It probably took that devil with an 8th grade education to figure out how to Einstein.
Green Ribbon said- "The other thing that really got to me was just the level of violent crimes and murders in Toledo".
Think of Toledo as a scaled down version of Detroit. Toledo has shootings nearly every night...but, unlike Detroit most of the time the victims live. Toledo has 3 of the best hospitals around. St. V's, Toledo Hospital and University of Toledo Medical Center all have top not trauma centers with life flight. Toledo EMS tends to get on scene and get the victims to the hospital in record fashion. If Toledo's hospitals weren't as good as they were...we could easily be like Detroit and have a murder every day. On Superbowl Sunday Toledo had 9 people shot overnight.

Thanks for the information Truth Be Told.

9 people shot in one night!
We don't tend to get too many shootings per day over here in the UK, but then you have to factor in that we are a much smaller population and gun ownership is very low here. Though firearms offences are definitely on the increase.

It sounds like Toledo EMS and hospitals are really on the ball, I can't say the same for the hospitals in my neck of the woods.

I got to admit I never expected to see Maytee putting up an Einstein quote either!

I like Pettaway's Judge. He can be a bit snarky in his written decisions. This is the latest.
Title : ORD:MOTION GRANTED
  500-000007024 issued by 226 ()

This matter came on to be heard upon the defendant's
Motion to Appropriate Additional Funds for the Mitigation
Investigator. The Court pursuant to an entry dated
December 29, 2011 approved the payment of up to $7,000.00
  for the investigation.

The Court noted in that entry that a criminal defendant is
not entitled to "experts" of their choosing. Some death
qualified trial counsel and possibly this "Mitigation
Specialist" think that, due to the nature of the case the
court has an unlimited amount of money. The Court will
approve this final request for funds. However, if the "specialist" cannot conclude the investigation within this
allocation, I would suggest to counsel to secure the
 services of a different "specialist".

It is therefore ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED that the
defendant's motion to appropriate additional funds of up
to an additional $7,000.00 is hereby GRANTED.

  Date:

  JUDGE JAMES D. BATES

interesting. so this reveals that they expect a conviction and hope to keep him off death row because his mommy failed at potty training. mitigation is only utilized during penalty/sentencing phase.
or they are going to plead and they need mitigation for pre-sentencing report.
if they plead to keep him off death row, he'll get LWOP.

Maybe Pettaway's team can secure the fine mitigation specialist that was counsel for Casey Anthony. Mrs. Bolin literally loves murderers. ![[Image: thumbnail.aspx?q=1576002785872&id=93c3ae...77e011.jpg]](http://ts1.mm.bing.net/images/thumbnail.aspx?q=1576002785872&id=93c3ae26695acb8394da0e51b6d8e3ef&url=http%3a%2f%2fcdn2-b.examiner.com%2fsites%2fdefault%2ffiles%2fstyles%2fimage_full_width%2fhash%2f30%2fd0%2f30d0298d7735e85dfac64d52da77e011.jpg)
$7,000 bucks for someone to find excuses for this POS Pettaway. Hopefully, unlike Casey Anthony, Pettaway will be found guilty and will need some serious mitigating circumstances to keep him from the ultimate punishment.

I'm just wondering if Cameo was shuffled around to foster care parents?

SAGE is out of Illinois - will they stay in a Hotel Suite? why Illinois? no group is available in Ohio. It will be more expensive if they are out of Illinois.

Do you still think Johnny Clarke owed money to Pettaway & Williams?

thanks lacy, it appears to be a memorial to Lisa that was made for Lisa's sister and family. Lisa's sister is not deceased.
Everyone who knew Lisa, regardless of if it was from birth, or just one second, was impacted by her kind heart and big smile. This video was made for Lisa's family, specifically her older sister Linds, who has been a longtime friend. We love you and will always remember.
