Nowak has some minor drug and theft charges in her past, but police will not say if they suspect a crime in Perdomo's disappearance.
Meanwhile, Perdomo's family and coworkers are doing what they can to help. His wife is already in Maine and on Friday, two firefighters will join her to help.
Lt. Dave Williams is one of the firefighters heading to Maine to help in the search.
"We've got a missing brother who needs to be found and there's an empty hole at the station in our hearts," said Williams. "He would do the same thing for me and he knows I would do the same thing for him."
WFTV reporter Jeff Deal is in Maine and made contact with Perdomo's brother, who was very upset and said that family members fear for his life.

LC, you said that LE suspects he's dead.
Do they have a body or a suspected crime scene?
Could he be staging his death?

They have a found rental car, they have a missing person, from the info available they do not have a body or enough evidence to call it a homicide yet.

no. they cannot conceal the fact of a body. but they sure as hell know a lot more than they are saying. typical taciturn Down-East Mainers. ha
no, actually, they are protecting their investigation for if/when it ever goes to trial. the less out there in public the better. but frustrating for the rest of us.

Morning Sentinel
OAKLAND — A Bangor couple who police interviewed in connection with a missing person case switched vehicles at a car dealership on Kennedy Memorial Drive earlier this week.
Police on Thursday impounded the vehicle the couple left behind after receiving a tip from the dealership.
Rod Pelkey, a manager at Lee Credit Now, said Daniel Porter, 24, and Cheyanne Nowak, 25, purchased a car sight-unseen from a Bangor office, then drove to Oakland on Tuesday to pick it up. While there, the couple asked Pelkey if they could leave their old car until they returned from a trip to Florida.
Pelkey said he read a newspaper story on Thursday about police seeking Porter and Nowalk in connection with the disappearance of firefighter Jerry Perdomo of Orange City, Fla., who was last seen Feb. 16. Police said they believed they were traveling in a white 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer, the car the couple left at the dealership.
Oakland, Bangor and state police were dispatched to the scene, according to Oakland police logs. The car was later impounded.
Pelkey said Porter seemed “disheveled” during the Tuesday transaction, but Porter explained he was going through a family emergency.
Pelkey said Porter originally asked for directions to the nearest WalMart so he could leave the Mitsubishi in that lot, but he eventually settled on leaving the car at the car lot.

Porter seems to like leaving cars in Walmart parking lots.
It seems like info from Perdomo's cell phone and computer must have info about who he was going to meet up with and why. Maybe I'm just old and tired, but driving from Florida to Maine for sex seems like an awful lot of trouble. This is a young, good-looking guy - surely he could have found what he was looking for closer to home.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I'm not convinced that Perdomo was harmed or killed yet. I really hope not.

I don't know if I am reading into this quote, she states ".....I'm sorry for your loss.......It is a terrible thing. I am so sorry about this. But I can do nothing further. Night," I just think she knows more then she is saying. IMO
Now onto Dean, if you look at his pictures on FB (I will detail it for LC). In the picture is just a person taking a picture of a person giving the camera the finger. This was in December 2011, a interesting point is that he states "Waiting for my father to get released from Skowhegan Jail. 5 hrs in the parking lot."
Maybe I am reaching with these 2, but with the above facts...there is more to the story then what is being told.
I KNOW WALMART has cameras, wonder what is on those cameras. Odd how these two were heading to FL.

WESH
A Maine woman said in an exclusive interview with WESH 2 that the missing Seminole County firefighter had been visiting her once a month.
Lisa, who did not want to give her last name, said Jerry Perdomo had been staying with her up until the night he disappeared.
"He said he was meeting a friend and I wish I could remember that friend's name," said Lisa.
The 31-year-old woman said that she had a relationship with Perdomo, 31, and that for the last 10 months he had been visiting her once a month.
She said Perdomo told her on the night of Feb. 16 that he was going out to meet a friend and that he would take her to dinner when he returned. But he never came back.
"I don't know because we had plans to go out to eat," said Lisa. "An hour after he left, one phone got shut off and about an hour and a half later, the other phone got shut off and they've been shut off ever since."
Perdomo, an Orange City man, has not been seen since Feb. 16 when he drove a rental car from Florida to Bangor. The car was found abandoned in a Walmart parking lot.
Detectives said there were no signs of foul play. Investigators said the surveillance video from the Walmart shows someone exiting the rental car at 8:15 a.m. Friday and walking away from the store. Police said they aren't sure of the identity of that person.
Lisa said Daniel Porter and Cheyanne Nowak, a couple that police were looking for and have questioned were friends of Perdomo's and that Perdomo occasionally met up with them.
The Portland Press Herald is reporting that Porter and Nowak bought a new car sight-unseen from a Bangor car dealer this week and then drove to another town to pick it up. The duo asked for directions to the nearest Walmart saying they wanted to leave their old car there because they had to drive to Florida for an emergency.
Investigators said they spoke with Porter, 24, and Nowak, 23, who officers believe are the last people to have contact with Perdomo. Police are not sharing any details about the interview.
Lisa told WESH 2 that she didn't know Perdomo was married until recently, but just wants him to be found.
"That's the hardest part is not knowing," said Lisa. "My hope is that he just was, I don't know, just decided to up and start a new life somewhere."
Perdomo's wife reported him missing to the Bangor Police Department after she did not hear from him.
Fellow firefighters are solemn and worried about Perdomo. Two of them flew to Maine to help with the search. Coworkers feel they can raise awareness about their missing friend.
"We're missing a family member," said Seminole County Lt. Dave Williams. "I was his training lieutenant. It's unlike him."
Firefighters Leave For Maine
The station 41 firefighters have been holding vigil and wearing yellow ribbons. They said they have also started a Facebook page in hopes of gathering more information.
Perdomo, a father of two, has been a firefighter for the Seminole County Fire department since 2009 and was in the Marines.
The Bangor Police Department said they have asked for assistance from the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit and are following up on information they have received over the last few days.

WFTV
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV reporter Jeff Deal talked to the mother of a woman on Friday, who Bangor police said had contact with Seminole County firefighter Jerry Perdomo, before his disappearance.
Perdomo disappeared on Feb. 16 after driving to Bangor, Maine to visit friends.
Investigators said Perdomo met with Cheyanne Nowak, 23, and Daniel Porter, 24. Police said they are questioning the couple.
Nowak's mother Deb told WFTV that her daughter was not involved in Perdomo's disappearance and that Porter is innocent until proven guilty, but did not say what she thought may have happened.
Deb Nowak, who lives just outside of Bangor in Brooks, also said she didn't know how the couple knew Perdomo.
One week ago, police in Maine found Perdomo's rental car in a Walmart parking lot, but surveillance video isn't clear enough to determine who parked the vehicle.
Even though police remained tight-lipped about where they found the couple or even why investigators wanted to speak with them, Deb Nowak told WFTV the two were questioned then released at the home of Porter's mother, nearly 400 miles away in Connecticut.
"They went down to Connecticut, that's where they got him," said Deb Nowak. "She's not the one who is of interest. He is."
Deb Nowak defended her daughter, and said she doesn't know what connection they have to Perdomo.
She said her daughter does have a prior drug arrest, but it was a misdemeanor that happened five years ago.
"You don't think this is involved with drugs as far as you know?" asked Deal.
"I have no idea. He doesn't work," said Deb Nowak.
Perdomo's family said they are worried about his safety, but police are calling it a missing person case.
"Do you think he's violent or anything?" Deal asked.
"No, not at all. Not violent, very passive," said Deb Nowak.
Meanwhile, Central Florida firefighters traveled to Maine to help search for Perdomo.
Police said they do not have an active search going.
Also on Friday, a local car dealer told WFTV that Porter bought a new tan Hyundai Elantra on Tuesday, paid with cash and hadn't even seen the car. Porter picked it up at another dealership an hour away, said the car dealer.
The car dealer from "Lee Credit Now" also said that Perdomo wanted to drop his other car, a white Mitsubishi Lancer, at a local Walmart, while he took a trip to Florida.
"He's not proven guilty. That's all I can tell you," said Deb Nowak. "He's just a quiet man, was raised here all his life. Everybody says he's a sweet heart."

some background on Perdomo:
After marrying in April 2001, Perdomo and his wife, Tonya, lived in Orlando with their newborn daughter and attended Valencia Community College before he enlisted in the Marines on May 29, 2001 and moved the family to North Carolina, near Camp Lejeune.
During five months deployed to Iraq with the 2nd Light Armored unit, Marine Sgt. Jerry Perdomo engaged in three "big fire fights" that left him emotionally scarred, according to his sworn testimony in an auto negligence lawsuit.
In May 2005, he was discharged from his four-year commitment - including forays into Fallujah, Baghdad, Tikrit and Nasiriyah - with a "final discharge diagnosis" of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
"When I had (it) real bad, I kept having some flashbacks ... Just some of the stuff I seen. I kept reliving it almost," he testified in a deposition.
PTSD, along with injuries to his knee, back and neck, also caused him to take prescription painkillers, anti-inflammatories and other drugs, he said.
"When I had PTSD real bad, I was taking some sleeping pills," he said, adding he also took prescription anti-inflammatories for joint pain.
After the May 30, 2007 car accident, when his car was rear ended as it waited at a red light, he complained of insomnia, whiplash and lower back pain, for which he took painkillers.
The neck and back pain lingered at least until his August 2008 deposition, when he said, "I always try to do stretches for my neck. Usually pain killers help a little bit."
The lawsuit was settled in May 2010 after Perdomo's attorney made a $5,000 settlement offer. The actual final settlement amount is not included in court records.
Perdomo had by then also settled, for payment to him of $3,800, a worker's compensation claim stemming from burns he received in October 2007 while employed as a $17-an-hour automotive technician, according to court records. The records do not reveal the exact cause of the second-degree burns to his face, arm and torso.
After his 2005 discharge, he enrolled in Seminole Community College, where he earned degrees in automotive technology and became certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and firefighter, he said in his deposition.
Perdomo was reported missing Sunday after driving from Florida to Maine last week.
His rental car was found abandoned in a Bangor Walmart parking lot. Bangor police said they reviewed surveillance video and it showed someone getting out of the car around 8:15 a.m. Friday and walking away from the store. It's not known, however, who the person is.
Perdomo, a firefighter and emergency medical technician at Seminole County Fire Department Station 41 in Sanford, last had contact with his wife, Tonya, via a text message that he sent her Thursday night.
Several of Perdomo's coworkers headed to Bangor to help search for him on Friday. Dave Williams and Troy Todak said they are going to Maine to pass out information and talk to local media there to raise awareness of the disappearance.
They said they plan to "lay the groundwork" for a future search, in which they will invite more Seminole County firefighters.
Their trip is being funded by the firefighters union and private donors. They said they don't know when they'll come back home but if they leave, they'll be replaced by others.

his history concerns me somewhat. that is one LONG damn drive from fla. to Maine to make once a month for some female. was it something more incriminating?
Maine state officials are confirming to ABC 7/FOX Bangor that law enforcement searched a load of trash from Bangor at the *Penobscot Energy Recovery Company* in Orrington, yesterday, in connection to this investigation.
Officials also confirm that the Attorney General's Office is now involved with the case, though investigators are looking at a variety of possibilities.

LC, Not so strange if he was in love....but he could have flown up and back for less trouble and a little more money...It does seem strange unless he had monthly business and these two (the police interviewed) had to get right back to florida so they could be the new couriers.

Maybe he was running drugs? I mean he has so many scripts for different ones, what's to say he wasn't selling them on......
I think the wife knows more too, that's a long way to drive once a month to visit friends, we live 2 hrs away from our friends and family and lucky if we make it down every couple months.
The other thing that is weird is the couple, the bf doesn't work and she has a young child, how did they get $5000 to buy a car cash ? Cheyanne's fb has gone poof now. Things don't add up, there is definitely more to the story I reckon.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Jerry Perdomo Sr. tacks a missing person poster on a telephone pole outside the Bangor Fire Department's central station on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012
Jerry Perdomo Sr. (right), along with his daughter Skye Ramos search part of the wooded area along the former Bangor landfill on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012. Looking for Jerry Perdomo Jr. who disappeared Feb. 16, 2012.
BANGOR, Maine — The father and half sister of a Florida man missing since Feb. 16 arrived Friday afternoon at the downtown bus station from New York City. After a stop at the Bangor police station, Jerry Perdomo Sr. and Skye Ramos headed north on Main Street, stopping at every shop they could and asking to put a color poster with a picture of Seminole County, Fla., firefighter Jerry Perdomo in a window. As they headed out of downtown on State Street, they stopped at nearly every utility pole to tape posters.
By 9 p.m. Friday, they had made their way to Appleby’s Restaurant near the intersection of Hogan Road and Stillwater Avenue. A waitress there took them to a table where Perdomo’s fellow firefighters were having supper with members of the Bangor Fire Department.
The snow was not a welcome sight for the elder Pordomo, his daughter said Saturday. He cried Friday night, Ramos told a Bangor Daily News photographer, distraught that the snow would cover up clues.
Assistant Bangor Police Chief Peter Arno said in an email late Saturday that there were no new developments in the case.
Flanked by news media from Bangor and Orlando, Fla., Seminole County firefighters Troy Todak and Dave Williams along with local firefighters Clifford “Kip” O’Brien, John Higgins, Jared Willey and Andy Willigar on Saturday afternoon searched the woods along Kittridge Road opposite the closed landfill. They went 50 to 100 feet off the road looking for signs that Perdomo might have been there.
They found nothing, but searching for their “brother” was important, Todak said.
“I can’t go back to Florida and tell my guys we didn’t look,” he said as the sun began to set.
Williams said they want to get Perdomo’s face before the public.
“Maybe somebody will see a flier and remember seeing him,” he said. “We went out to a truck stop [Dysart’s] to put up a flier and a worker there remembered seeing him in the past few days.”
Williams said the man was not sure exactly when he had seen Perdomo, but knew it was recently. The tip was passed on to police.
Williams said that he and other firefighters knew Perdomo often visited Maine but did not know if there was a particular reason he traveled north or if he spent time with anyone in particular while in the state.

I think he's dead, probably met up with the wrong people, they robbed and killed him. That's just my gut feeling.
