They just announced last week our local summer concert series and he was on it. hmm...no love loss here, but Marsha Brady is crying her eyes out somewhere.

Elton John better not croak before April 22nd.

If you just jinxed Elton, and he dies before April 22nd...I'm headed your way.

Don Kirshner died of heart failure in a Boca Raton, Florida hospital on January 17, 2011. Jones and Kirshner were in close proximity in the last few years. I wonder if they talked out their rift.

I sing karaoke every once in a while, and tonight I'm doing it. I'll have to do a Monkees tune. Which one?

Daydream Believer or Last Train to Clarksville?

I have not had the voice to do Daydream Believer since I was 8. Much better at anything by Barry White

I think it was Micky Dolenz. The only one hired out of the Monkees audition with no musical or singing background. I like his voice on that song.

That's okay. I'd do 'I'm A Believer', but that's really a Neil Diamond song. I guess it's Daydream.

I thought it was the tall gangly guy who did Last Train? But, I really am not old enough to have watched their show or listened to their tunes.

Zero, just checked it. You were right. Dolenz sang Last Train.

This saddened when I heard, I loved the monkeys, I thought their TV show was so funny when I was little, and of course Davy Jones was my favorite.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

He is a Survivor, a great self promoter and an energetic performer..

Born the third of twelve siblings, Little Richard was raised in a family with deep evangelical Christian roots. He was put out of the home by his father, who told him that he had spoiled his wish to have seven sons because of his sexual mannerisms. After Little Richard began making records, his father had started to open up to him. But his father was fatally shot by Little Richard's best friend, James LeRoy, outside a local bar. At the time Little Richard was 19 years old. He is 80 years old this year.
