i have a good source who told me, and i posted it last week i think, that Lisa died first. "accidentally". then they went outside to discuss what to do with Johnny. that's when the cig butt was discarded.
i too hope there is more than a cig butt for direct evidence. there's no date on that butt! but i have to have faith in the prosecutors until we see the entire case laid out. [/b]
This is unlikely but a thought. What if this is how it went down and they went outside to smoke? I still believe they were smart enough to bring plenty of tape but just in case they didn't, maybe they went back in with the other two still holding Johnny down and decided he had to die as well.
They unwrap the tape around Lisa's legs and begin bagging Johnny. He's struggling so they rip off a piece before they use the whole strip and tape his legs.
Again, I still think more than one roll of tape was used.
Just because its the same color doesn't make it the same roll of tape. Stores who sell duct tape sell them with about 20 rolls on display. Duct tape is a handyman's favorite.

THIS IS AN UPDATE OF A PREVIOUS STORY ON CHANNEL 13. I DON'T THINK IT WAS POSTED.
"The first call Sam Williams made from the county jail after his arrest was to Cameo Pettaway. The defendant in this case. and you'll here that call, " said Braun
I would shit if this guy calls Cameo and says "hey they caught me for that couple we killed with the bags." LOL of please God say they're that stupid!!
Speaking of stupid, 13ABC should know that you don't spell it "h-e-r-e" but "h-e-a-r"...and I thought my posts were sloppy lol

HAHAHAHA I'm sorry but the retard word usually makes me cringe but in this case I just can't get enough of it. Adding "Certified" before the title brings perfection

Wasn't the blood on Lisa's face described as dried? I would think that the plastic bag would prevent the blood from drying. So was the blood already dry when the plastic bag was used? Seems to be the only explanation to me.

Great post! I thought Alexandria Cousino and her bad boyfriend Thomas Nutter. Could be the other 2 goons are taking a newport break in the garage. IMO
I don't think Nutter was her boyfriend at the time. She was with Frost Daddy? Can't remember his name but he was dicussed here.
Who is Frost Daddy? hope someone can tell us.

I agree. Otherwise it would have been smeared all inside the bag as well.
Seems the blood would also have been very dry given the moisture trapped in a bag with hot breath and sweating.
Sounds like her blood had plenty of time to dry before she was murdered. If that's true it seems like there was a drawn out interrogation and escalating argument. One thing lead to another and a threat with a bag was made. Maybe the killers were thrown over the edged when the victims "called their bluff"?
This is just part of who I am but I really hope in the end we have a detailed account and why and how this went down. I really want to understand and get the closure of understanding.

I do not post very often, just a lurker. 13 Action News appears to have the complete opening statments available on video. Not certain if someone has posted this already or not. I am not an expert but if you click on the link I attached you can see "related videos" and they have "Pettaway Trial, Day 1 Part 1" and then Part 2 and Part 3. Sorry if this was posted already!

Lady Cop Post #20800 ABC 13 NEWS
Prosecutors say the couple had an addiction to the common pain medication Percocet, the couple had planned to get together with friends to snort the drug that night.
From Toledo Blade Coroner report:- Toxicology reports, which were released Tuesday, showed Johnny Clarke, 21, had either Percocet or Oxycontin and marijuana in his system. Lisa Straub, 20, had either Percocet or Oxycontin and Vicodin in her system, Dr. Patrick said.
Dr. Patrick stated they had ingested the drugs several hours before they died.
Tiffany got an invite along with Mr.Z they have to know what was going to be served that night at the get together?
I hope LE was able to find out who Johnny talked to that day and Lisa, information may be in those phone calls, I sure hope so.

No date on that butt is a good point, damn it could have been planted by the real killer(s) let's hope not.

Wow. Too bad Maytee couldn't have expressed herself in this kind of heartfelt and appropriate way all along. I hope their family finds some way to forward and heal.

If we had to do this over we should have (seriously) organized a massive email/calls/letters etc to court tv people asking to air. Bet they would have if they had been made aware of so many wanting justice for Lisa and Johnny.
Usually opening statements lay out their case and it's sounds like all they have is a cigarette butt. I sure hope that's wrong.

I can't find it by going to the ch 13 site. Maybe, I'm just brain dead(or stupid ha). I hope these videos continue.

I'm listening/watching opening statements right now & I have to say, it's one thing to read details in here but it's quite another watching a prosecutor describe what went down during these murders.
