The case was dismissed from the lower court, because it was transferred (indicted) to a higher court that handles felony and some misdemeanor charges. Basically, his status was upgraded to a higher court. The lower court then dismissed their case since it is being handled in another venue within the same jurisdiction.

Under the circumstances, I thought it would be justified to keep things factual and humor filled when necessary. I always stayed in the shadows and gave my take to LC when she asked.

Pettaway held on charges of assaulting girlfriend
BLADE STAFF

Cameo Pettaway, who had recently been acquitted of the aggravated murder for the deaths of a Springfield Township couple, was ordered held in the Lucas County jail Monday in lieu of $125,000 bond in an unrelated case.

Mr. Pettaway, 23, of 922 Mambrino St., in Oregon, appeared in Lucas County Common Pleas Court to face a charge of felonious assault for the alleged assault on his live-in girlfriend. His arraignment was continued until Nov. 13.

Mr. Pettaway was first arrested Oct. 14 at his Oregon residence, where police were called at about 8 a.m. The victim, Sarah Rupert, 26, apparently suffered significant injuries to her face, authorities said. Mr. Pettaway had posted a $25,000 bond in the case but was rearrested after the indictment was issued by the Lucas County grand jury.

Despite being asked by the defense for a similar bond, Judge Stacy Cook noted Mr. Pettaway’s past assault record, that included instances of domestic violence. Assistant County Prosecutor Mark Herr noted that Mr. Pettaway was arrested at his home where Ms. Rupert was, despite a no-contact requirement being ordered by the Oregon Municipal Court judge.

Mr. Pettaway was acquitted in July by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge James Bates for lack of evidence in the slayings of Lisa Straub and Johnny Clarke. The ruling was issued after a jury heard 3½ days of testimony but before the trial got to the jury deliberation stage.

Mr. Pettaway and co-defendant Samuel Williams, 24, were each charged with aggravated murder in connection with the deaths.

Williams, 24, was convicted of two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of aggravated burglary. He is currently serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole.

Expert questions mental capacity of slaying suspect
Issue affects death-penalty eligibility
BY JENNIFER FEEHAN
BLADE STAFF WRITER

Charlene Cassel, a clinical psychologist with the Court Diagnostic and Treatment Center, a private, nonprofit community forensic psychiatry facility, testified for the court, saying the tests she conducted and an interview with Mr. Pettaway led her to determine he is not mentally retarded, although she diagnosed him with antisocial personality disorder.

I think more and more Ms. Cassel was right, my gosh this dude has 12 mugshots and he thinks he can just do anything to people and get away with it.

I believe only 8 years also...... glad they have no 10% this time.. I have to say this makes me believe there was a plea bargain with the murder.... I truley believe he may have spilled his guts to get off..... who knows??

I don't think that a plea is an option just yet. Cam was found at Sarah's house (in violation of the no contact order) when they went to arrest him, which is probably why the"no 10%."

As the case progresses, look for the term "Noelle Prosequi" on the dockets, which means "be unwilling to persue" or "do not prosecute." When we see this - then we will know he talked.

I was actually referring to the murder... for some reason I feel like he may have spilled his guts then..... just saying..

queen bitch, I figured you were talking about the murders.

Rambo the thug needs the maximum this time, the victim was seriously harmed and he has a pattern of violence towards women, he has had enough chances to change.
