Were you ever grounded? Can you recall being punished for bad behavior?

Oh yeah. My dad was scary. I used to sit next to him at dinner and I can't count the number of times a hand would come out of nowhere to swat my elbows off the table.

Yah I got grounded a few times when I was a kid. I rarely got my ass whooped though but when I did...I got it good. My dad never yelled, whooped, or grounded me. He's a very passive man. Mom on the other hand....

Same here.

Not me. Mom worked a lot. She was mostly too tired to deal with much of anything.My sister used to whomp me right in the middle of back and take my breath away, though. That would ground me for a moment.

I hope none of my kids read this ! They love to talk about the Hot Wheels track that I used on them. I also told all of them ,that if I found anybody breaking the law, I would call the police myself. I did that once, but did not get the result I wanted. They did nothing ! I sat with my kid from 1am to 3am waiting for them to come. They talked to kid, but I really wanted kid to spend the night in Juvenile Detention. Today, every kid has a cell phone in their hand ready to call the authorities if you look crossed-eyed at them !!!!!
