It's pretty clear to me now why Jodi was essentially honest about her relationship with her parents during her testimony; mom and dad answered that one on tape.

I feel a little badly for the dad (don't know what to think about the mom). I don't think he abused Jodi, vice-versa. When told that LE had overwhelming evidence that Jodi was the killer, he as much as asked Flores if Jodi had used the gun stolen from his in-laws. He knows who Jodi is...

HLN is showing more clips of the interrogation videos with Jodi's mom. Sad.

It's weird hearing Mrs. Arias talk about how she asked Jodi right away if Jodi had anything to do with it (which Jodi denied, and Mrs. Arias believed) and how Jodi was the happiest that her mom had ever seen her right after Travis died (she'd kill again, imo). Mom had never even seen a picture of Travis until after Jodi showed her Travis's website after he was killed.

Argh..LaViolette now talking about how concerned and empathetic Jodi felt towards Travis after she caught him masturbating to pictures of boys and considering his terrible childhood. Jodi's wearing her pained face. Maddening.

Ah hell, LaViolette is sick so court is through for the day.

She's already been on the stand for 6 days (total time that Samuels was on the stand) and she's expected to be on the stand for at least 3 more depending on how many juror questions will be submitted.

Hope she can testify tomorrow.

Is it mostly news vans camped out there, Tiki, or lots of public spectators hanging around too?

HLN doesn't show the outside of the courthouse much like they did during the Casey Anthony circus. On that one, I remember the footage of trial watchers lining up early to get in and hanging around outside for hours if they didn't make the cut.

Yes . . . bunch 'o vans. IN SESSION is the only one flying colors.

Public is around the corner, in front of the North Court Tower at the Change of Venue.

This was my first time visiting the South Court Tower. Impressive complex. Pedestrian only access, for the entrance.

I'll admit I was a bit surprised as to how uncomfortable I felt while standing outside of Courtroom 5C.

Good! No way should the judge have the jury sequestered now, it would be a really strong appellate issue and essentially an admission that the jury is suspect. The jury gets admonished daily and the judge continually checks to make sure they're not hearing or talking about the case. Good enough.

The parents' interrogation videos are really incriminating towards Jodi; Nurmi and Wilmott have to hate that they're out there. Wonder if LaViolette had ever seen them?

Not surprised that media is clamoring for those unreleased journal entries. On Nancy Grace last night, they read an excerpt. It was pretty disparaging to Travis; more about him asking Jodi to borrow money and blowing up when she said "no", her then placating him and eventually agreeing to loan him the money. All in Jodi's hand and words, of course, so who knows if the entries are reality-based.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that the defense did not call the women who allegedly had these "relationships" with Travis?

And the implication that these relationships are of a salacious nature, too?

^ I think the defense only called Travis's ex-girlfriend, Lisa Andrews. And, we heard from Mimi Hall who was the first prosecution witness. All we really learned from them was that they thought Travis was a virgin, neither wanted to marry him, both thought he was sexually charged, neither had been abused in any way by Travis, and both thought Jodi Arias was like a stalker.

I don't think it's too weird that none of the other many women LaViolette is prattling on about has been called by the defense, only because I don't think he likely did anything but flirt with them (which LaViolette seems to find a mortal sin) and doubt Jodi/LaViolette's story that they were all being played by Travis.

Wouldn't mind seeing any of these women being called as rebuttal witnesses, but doubt Martinez will need to go there.

"Just flirting" and not some super-secret-sexual-soire was my point, too.

If I was Martinez, I ask LaVoyeur if she interviewed any of these (up to ten) women to confirm her analysis and or theories.

She makes Samuels look objective with her testimony.

I think that the way the defense is positioning Travis's own words and those of his friends, the Hughes's, is the most favorable (to Jodi) evidence presented so far. Can see a pliable juror adding Travis's description of his own terrible temper (Lisa alluded to it in an email too) + the Hughes's calling him "abusive to women" to conclude it's reasonable to believe that Travis blew up and went on the attack over a camera drop.

So hoping that Martinez only focuses in depth on those LaViolette cacklings that really matter and doesn't get lost in all of the other shit she's spewed.
