The boy scouts of America organisation has voted to welcome openly gay scouts, ending a divisive ban.

But a ban on openly gay adult scout leaders will remain in place.

Personally i don't see why the fuck gay people shouldn't be allowed to be scout leaders. It seems to be the old argument that gay people are all potential sexual predators of children which is complete bullshit.

I confess, years ago I was homophobic and I thought "when I have kids", I wouldn't want them to have openly gay teachers etc.

I've evolved. I don't think being gay is something you catch. I believe all scout leaders have to go through some background check. Provided they pass that, I don't care if they're straight or gay now.

If my daughter was in the girl guides and somebody told me her girl guide leader was a lesbian my reaction would be “so what? Who gives a fuck?”.

just because someone is gay does not make them a nonce.

My stylist is gay & I love him to pieces. I tell him all the time that he is such a waste of hunky manliness. I normally have excellent gaydar but I didn't with him.

Erm....the fact he is a hair stylist should have been your first clue. I'm not saying they are all gay but I would hazard a guess the overwhelming majority are.

That's just it, I've had a couple male stylists in the past & they were straight as a pin so I saw him in the same light. Whatta boob.

I'm surprised you managed to find two straight ones, they must be as rare as a photo of a black person smiling.

I always look for a male stylist when I need a new one. Every female I've ever encountered always wants to cut my hair, every one, while the men just want to style it. I don't want short hair.

Surely if you are paying them they should do as they are fucking told?

I had a landscape gardener recommended by a friend I had drawn up my own basic plan for the garden and this guy kept on mentioning a rockery or rock garden. I kept telling him I didn't want a rock garden and left him to it. The following morning he turned up in his truck and started unloading all these fucking rocks onto the pavement. I said “what the hells this?” And he said “I thought I would make a start on the rock garden today”! I went ballistic “.i specifically told you more than once I didn't want a fucking rock garden!”

He loaded up the rocks and pissed of and I never saw him again luckily we agreed on payment on completion of the work so he didn't get a bean.

How did you know? I wasn't concerned about the outfit because we all have to express ourselves as we see fit, but I did become concerned when he spontaneously broke out into song
