This isn't the first time I've laughed out loud at something she has said.

Col Jessup: Phone bills and foot lockers? Please tell me you haven't pinned your hopes on the chest of some bitch who can't even read or write. I love Washington, Danny!

I'm pretty sure the jury can tell she's not the brightest star in the sky and he was confusing her. Plus some of his questions really were retarded hah.

Who is this blond chick testifying? She's all smiley and proud of herself. Does she not realize this is a murder trial??

I didn't know you could say shit like that in court and not at least get a hand slap from the judge. Sure makes things more interesting. Would have liked to see Jodi say that to Juan some time. Combination of Cops and Judge Judy or something.

I think the judge did think West was retarded when he asked her to describe the sound of wet grass and kept insisting her description was her statement as to what happened that night.

Does the jury have the option to convict on lesser charges? I think murder 2 is a big stretch for the prosecution. I've always thought manslaughter seemed to fit better based on the lack of eyewitness accounts.

I was thinking the same thing User. Murder 2 is a stretch. GZ isn't a violent criminal. I don't think in his wildest dreams he ever thought he would get into an altercation while on NW and end up shooting a young man. He is not a dangerous criminal and he won't kill again.

Rabid Trayvon fans wouldn't agree with me but as much as I think George is guilty for following Trayvon, I'd be content if he got 5-10 years in jail for being a DUMBASS. I don't think he set out to kill Trayvon; he was just negligent/stupid/over aggressive.

I don't think he's a dangerous criminal either. A creepy ass cracker pervert probably, but not a violent criminal.

I think he was the initial aggressor because he's a dumbass, but I don't think he's a cold blooded killer.

The jury can consider the lesser charge of manslaughter. This is the verdict that I would have bet on before trial. So far, nothing presented in testimony convinces me otherwise.

I think that the state will likely be able to convince the jury that George's actions don't constitute self defense, but I don't think the prosecution has the ammunition to prove that Zimmerman acted with a depraved mind to intentionally kill Trayvon Martin unless there's some smoking gun forensic evidence we haven't seen/heard yet. The five previous 911 calls may convince the jury that George profiled Trayvon as suspicious, but they won't be enough to equate to "depraved mind". IMO.

DeeDee was a better witness for the prosecution than I thought she'd be when I read her depo a while back. I thought, due to her seeming slowness in processing and articulating, that she might get chewed up on cross-examination or be easily led to agree with whatever anyone threw at her - ultimately making her an asset to the defense. That didn't happen, imo.

She has the issue of lying about her age and why she didn't go to the hospital, but she she knows what she knows (in her mind) and she stuck with it; she was tougher than I expected. The "get off me" that she claims she heard from Trayvon could have really helped the state in discrediting George's version of events, but since she didn't mention it in previous interviews (for whatever reasons), I think the jury may disregard that claim. I don't think DeeDee wanted to help one side or the other and I found her credible, attitude and all. But, I can see how others wouldn't, including some on the jury. She's a wash; no benefit to either side unless the jury puts a lot of stock in Jayne Sardyka's witness account and believes that DeeDee's account supports it. Jayne was the only really strong prosecution witness so far. IMO.

The "creepy ass cracker" statement: IDK. It cuts both ways. "Creepy ass" leads me to believe that George was following Trayvon (not looking for a street sign) and possibly looking to take Trayvon off guard. The "cracker" part the defense is using to suggest that there was racism on Trayvon's part and reason for Trayvon to attack George. I think that's a stretch for the jury, but you never know what they'll latch on to.

I think that the prosecution has a long way to go and the remainder of their case needs to be more convincing to get anywhere near Murder 2.

I was listening to some commentators last night & they all really liked her as a witness. They think the jury will be able to relate to her and each & every one commented that she went toe to toe with the prosecutor and held her own. It was said that here were two people, one a highly educated prosecutor with years of experience under his belt & the other was a somewhat slow, uneducated girl with no experience who didn't even want to be there and that she did a damn fine job when she was up against him. They all found her to be an "interesting", credible witness and they thought the jury would understand why she lied about the things she did. They also slammed the prosecutor for taking her original statement in front of T's mom, they didn't understand that at all and while they didn't say this they made it obvious they felt it was "retarded". 113

I'm really curious as what the jurors thought about DeeDee's testimony and what, if any, impact she'll have on the verdict. Looking forward to the post-trial juror interviews.

Smiley_emoticons_slash Should have been: "why she lied about going to the hospital (as an excuse for not going to the funeral)"...

P.s. To me, most of the neighbor witnesses appear to be tired of the attention and talking about what they heard and saw, before they even take the stand. I know they were plagued by media once the story gained a national audience.

I think this defense attorney is a sneaky fucker. I feel like he's trying to put words in the witness mouth.

Things are not looking good for the prosecution in my opinion. I'm not sure the jury will get past reasonable doubt and fault George sufficiently for pursuing Trayvon.

Adub's going to have a stroke if I'm right.

I hope the prosecution has more to offer.

She's not the only one.

If zimmerman gets away with this I will probably be as pissed as I was when OJ got off.

I believe I have multiple posts in this thread that predicted Z would walk.

Adub described a scenario recently that had me wondering if Z really was guilty. She could still be right, but prosecution may not be able to prove it.

As for the bet Adub and I made, if she loses, she has to give herself a Brazilian wax of her nether regions, take a photo and post it in Members Only.

Of course, we'll need some sort of sign next to her private parts that says something along the lines of "Here's Adub's beaver."
