Is not a pound of breathing still a pound of breathing regardless if it has a tail? It really doesn't seem all that complicated. It just chaps my ass when this sick bastard that has raped, mutilated, and tortured others now wants to stand behind some penny-assed group and cry foul because he thinks 'his' rights have been violated? When there are kids which also find themselves in the care of the same State and their living conditions, nutrition, and basic needs fall far below what Mr. Cry Baby is receiving on death row. I asked a friend of mine what was done with a death row equivalent in Vietnam. .. "They are taken it into the field and shot, just like that. "

If people were going to die a gruesome death if found guilty do you think we'd see less of some of these godawful crimes?

Duch, that's a horrible question.

Mock has a few simpletons who think they are "deep". Are you one of simple solutions . . . or one of simple mind?

Then that brings you down to their level. What about miscarriages of justice? I just think of Sharia where people are beheaded by the sword in public in front of a crowd. Gruesome indeed.

If you manage to stick around here for a while and keep your head about you, I've got a Christmas gift in mind for you. Who needs another Ginsu knife? This chopper could be the best antique home accent since sliced bread. Plus, it could serve as a killer bench press. Multi-purpose re-repurposing -- it's all the rage. Anyway, you've got access to most of the sub-forums now. See you around, ChicagoBorn. Welcome to Mock.

That was the very first case that I got emotionally caught up in and I wanted those fuckers to die terrified and in pain just like Dr. Petit's wife and daughters. I still think about their horrible deaths to this day.

Sharia law IS gruesome...those people are usually killed for no logical reason at all. We're not talking about Sharia Law. ETA...CRAZY LADY!!

I want them to be public. See what awaits you, if you do the deed. In my world, I'd encourage advertisers . . . electric companies, arms and munitions manufacturers and big pharma to promote their wares. Use the revenue to offset the cost of prosecution, incarceration and the appellate process. I'm tired of hearing that convicted criminals are now "victims", due to their actions. They knew the probable consequences awaiting them, if caught and convicted.

^^^ Sounds a little like George Carlin's idea to fence in the 4 corners area and fill the area with the worst guilty offenders until 4 are left and make those two matches a fight to the death on pay per-view.

A pregnant woman was just stoned to death in Pakistan for marrying the man she loved instead of the man her father wanted to force her to marry. Her father brothers and fiance all took part in the stoning. The poor woman must have been terrified by the angry mob. Could you be calm killing someone? I couldn't even if it was government ordered. My uncle was brutally murdered in the street, he was stabbed to death. We are a peaceful catholic Irish family, it broke my grandmothers spirit, it took its toll on our family. I can't imagine any of us wanting to see that man being stabbed by a machete. He was locked up for life and he too had a wife and family. Killing that man doesn't bring my uncle back.

Yeah . . . that's fair. And the man who killed your uncle . . . do you believe the sentence was sufficient and just for his crime? I don't.

To be honest I don't think the sentence matched the crime and my aunty has had to keep attending parole hearings to ensure that he doesn't get out. He ended up in the pleading insanity.
