NFL 2014

I have concerns about the Eagles going up to practice with the Patriots after the comments Cary Williams made about them being cheaters. I'm not crazy about these shared practices to begin with and now this. Ugh.

So far so good.

Coaches like the joint practices just because it lets their guys get physical with other players instead of beating each other up day after day.

As far as schemes and 'showing your hand' there's very little of a teams playbook utilized in these get-togethers.

It's also a seeding ground for future trades.

I'm not worried about the playbook, I'm worried about injuries. That's always a concern for me but more so after Cary ran his mouth about the Pats being cheaters. I'm not saying I disagree with that assessment just that maybe he could have waited to say that AFTER they practiced together. People don't take that shit lightly.

I honestly think stuff like that is media hype. A professional doesn't let it get to him.

WRs don't tend to get chances to hit CBs. I don't imagine Pats coaches like to see fights, especially with another team, so if they want to prove they're classy, they wouldn't take shots at Cary.

Either way, Amendola and Julian Edelman aren't starting fights with anyone. Amendola could get hurt stepping off an elevator, he'd be an idiot to fight in camp. Thompkins, Dobson, or LaFell tho... maybe they'll fight him.

Eagles starters will take 10-15 snaps vs. Da Bearse on Friday.

It's only pre-season, but it's damn nice to have football back on.

Preseason is the best for guys like me. I know who's going to start in the regular season... I want to be ready for next year. I want to see the 3rd string battles. I wanna see whether Joe Kruger or Brandon Bair makes this football team. I wanna know if Curtis Marsh REALLY has taken a step forward in his FOURTH year with the team, or whether Jaylen Watkins blows him out of the water. I wanna see if Ed Reynolds can make some plays. I wanna see if Beau Allen can push a pocket. You only see those guys preseason if you're lucky. I'm excited.

But I'm going to the Bengals-Chiefs game tonight. Hopefully good seats, so if I get any decent pics, I'll throw em on here.

It has its ups and downs. Remember how good Mays looked in the preseason under Reid? Never saw him again...

Good Game. Got to watch DAT run one back right in front of us for an 80 yard Punt Return TD. Chips old 'offensive weapon' at Oregon, Andy snatched him in the 3rd. Photos are a bit grainy... but whatya gonna do. Phone was low bat, didn't wanna turn HDR on. Meh.

Wheedon looked great, but the defense... Dixon was the only one on the field hitting anyone and he went out with a concussion in the 3rd. I don't even think Dixon is a starter. There's some seriouly BIG holes in their D.
