Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
The unmatched DNA from the crime scene is definitely intriguing, d505.

I know Alex has a rap sheet. If she was over 18 when arrested and any of the charges filed against her were felonies or qualified misdemeanors, Ohio LE would have had authority to take a DNA sample from her. http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2901.07

I just don't know if LE has obtained such a sample from her. Assuming they have, I don't know if they ever ran it through the database for matching to DNA collected from crime scenes, including the Straub/Clarke murderers. I'd hope so.

I'm curious too.

I can't back this up because I don't know where to find it in this monster thread but I feel certain that I read that every name associated with this case has had their DNA tested. I'm referring to names mentioned in Mock, like AC for example. Hopefully there is someone reading this who remembers that.

The few people that I've talked with about Ramirez were all wondering what was he doing associating with the clarkes. The common asdsumption was that he was somehow related to maytee. "Blood is thicker than water"-type thing.

Shoot, that's miserably cold. We're having the opposite weather here -- warmest days on record for these dates in northern California and worrying about droughts again.

Anyway, if Ramirez is somehow related to Maytee (or maybe if they've known each other since childhood), that sure could explain him risking everything to help the Clarkes plot the shooting.

I haven't seen any statements from his lawyer other than he plans to fully cooperate as part of the investigation; no declarations of innocence or anything like that. If he was part of an undercover sting against the Clarkes, I doubt he would have been arrested, but the thought briefly crossed my mind.

Ramirez's preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, 2/19. Unless he waives it and the case is pushed directly to the grand jury, we should learn a little more about the charges against him next week.

IIRC, that was posted here and tied to this statement:

Rob Miller, an assistant county prosecutor, told the jury of nine women and three men that of the nearly 90 people whose DNA was tested and compared to evidence collected in the house, DNA of only Williams and co-defendant Cameo Pettaway was found.

I don't remember names being attached to those 90 individuals, but I could easily have missed it.

Thanks UK---->
this is article. so the news media must have copies of the warrants.

SPRINGFIELD TWP. (WTVG) -- A search warrant was executed today on the house on Longacre Lane where two young people were killed.

The list of items uncovered includes everything from a DVD to cardboard boxes to cell phone parts strewn about the house. And it raises as many questions as it answered.
Monday morning, inside the house on the 2100 block of Longacre Lane, investigators found the bodies of Johnny Clarke, 21, and Lisa Straub, 20. They were tied up with bags over their heads.

The gruesome discovery launched a major investigation into who killed the young couple and why. Today, investigators also discovered on the kitchen floor white baggie pieces, a light blue lighter and a Ziploc bag. On various kitchen countertops, there were a digital scale, two knives and central security documents.

The items were seized -- taken as evidence -- during a search of the home owned by Lisa Straub's parents. They were on a cruise at the time of the killings.

The list goes on, showing, in the master bedroom, investigators took dinars, currency of Iraq and other countries. Throughout the house, they gathered DNA swabs.

They also found a key with 5-4-4 stamped on it under the body of Lisa Straub. The warrant also describes black/pink interband pants under Straub's neck. Her wrists were taped together, but not her ankles. Clarke's ankles were taped up.

That's one of many details investigators are trying to sort through to help catch a killer. We also know investigators spent yesterday interviewing people, trying to get answers apart from what they found inside the home.

It was in the news. Somewhere around the first week. The article was about the search warrants and what was taken from the Straub home. That is what started the discussion.

So, according to trial transcripts referenced in the appeals doc:

-Eric Yingling, the jailhouse informant whose testified against Samuel Williams, said that appellant (Williams) revealed to him that they (Williams, Pettaway and Eric Taylor) had found some sort of foreign money in the Straub home. Yingling testified, “It was Ghadaffi or So-Damned-Insane, is how he [a]ppellant said it, meaning Sadam Hussain.” Yingling testified appellant left the money in the house because even if it was real, appellant did not know how to exchange it for U.S. currency.

-Detective Kozak testified at trial that information about the dinars, the Iraqi currency found at the Straub home, was not made public, although dinars were listed as property seized from the crime scene pursuant to the search warrant.

Based on the early media reports featuring contents of the search warrant, Detective Kozak's testimony about the dinars is misleading, in my opinion. I think it's reasonable to have less faith in Yingling's credibility knowing that information about Iraqi currency had, in fact, been published in the news and Yingling's wife had admittedly searched out information about the case before Yinglig testified.

I'm just curious because I know a lot of Mock members followed this case closely from day one. Does anyone think Sam Williams is innocent and was railroaded? Or, do you believe Williams is guilty and took the fall for others who also participated?

This case has taken so many twists and turns, I don't know what to think anymore. I can't believe Williams hasn't talked. I don't understand the "snitch" mentality. Why IF he is innocent would he want to spend the rest of his life in jail? IF he did do it.... why didn't he name others that were there with him? I can't wrap my brain around the way these type of people think .

Another thing I am curious about is Maytees relationship with Lt Rameriz. Did you ever notice Maytee always posted police reports on Tiffany and Alex ? I wonder who was the arresting officer in those cases. Did her relationship make her privy to such information? So many unanswered questions.

I'm still checking the booking site to see when Maytee gets booked on new charges. Wondering if her bond will be $100,000 also.

I wouldn't. That bat deserves every awful thing that's about to come down on her. She applauded LC's death, crowed about it for days after she found out. She expressed joy in knowing LC died! One of my Member's Marine son was going back to war and Maytee hoped he'd get blown to bits by a bomb. She's wished death on my entire membership. She told people she sued Mock and got a lot of money. That's a lie. You can't sue people for having an opinion. She is a liar, she's a thug with an arrest record as long as my arm. She's the kind of person your parents warn you about when you're a kid. It's not like the world is a better place with her in it. Lives, dies, I don't care either way but I'm surely not going to feel bad about anything that happens to her. Why would I?

I do not find Yinglings testimony credible. I honestly don't know. If I were on the jury though I would vote not guilty. No DNA was found on either victims. The cigarette found though ties him to the crime, since SW stated that he had never been to the Straubs home. When he was initially arrested he seemed upset about the police arresting him in such a dramatic way infront of his kids. And he thought it was all over child support. I thought he seemed genuine.

As far as SW's part in the crime the DNA shows that he was at the scene. I know with the Aaron Hernandez case, they do not need to prove that he fired the gun, they just need to prove that he took part in the crime. I think he is guilty of that.
