The Times They Are A Changing...

Suddenly, transgender is straight-up mainstream, with both performers and characters lighting up the pop cultural landscape.

^ Bruce Jenner will reportedly come out about his gender transition in a “20/20” interview tonight. He says he's going to change the world and that he's been getting ready for this his whole life. He also says this is the last interview in which he'll go by the name Bruce.

A 14-year-old transgender girl, ^ Jazz Jennings, will get her own show on TLC this summer.

Well good for them. Such brave souls. I'm too much of coward to ever even think of losing Clang Jr and his two testes friends.

You don't have to lose CJ and the dangling dudes to come out as transgender, but it does takes a lot of bravery, I agree. I thought you just liked to dress in women's clothes though, not that you identified as a woman Clang?

Anyway, gotta give it to ABC and Dianne Sawyer -- the Bruce Jenner interview was more compelling than I'd expected, and they tossed in some education as well.

Jenner addressed a few of the questions and topics that have come up here and everywhere:
-Bruce Jenner said he wasn't sure whether he was going to have sexual reassignment surgery or not.

-He had to explain a couple of times for Dianne Sawyer how gender dysphoria and sexuality are not related. Jenner is attracted to women and always has been, he said. He's just always considered himself as a "her" and has the soul of a female.

-He said that all of his wives knew about his cross-dressing (he's been doing it since he was 8), but he said he didn't do a good job of explaining to them that he actually identified as a woman and that he wasn't sure how long he could keep presenting himself as a man. He admitted that he wasn't as fair as he could have been with them.

-He said his gender identity had nothing to do with his first divorce, it was a big part of his second divorce, and that if she had been okay with him coming out and living his life authentically as a woman, he and Kris Kardashian would probably still be together.

-He started to physically transition after his second divorce and was taking hormones for 5 years, but backed off for fear of hurting his kids. He said he had 36Bs by the time he and Kris Kardashian got together.

-His older children from his first two marriages appeared in the interview. They are very supportive, as are his mom and his older sister.

-He hasn't revealed his female name and wants to be called Bruce and referred to as "he" for now.

RIP Bruce...96 I predict he/she will have his/her own reality show before to long.

I watched some of it online today & I've read some comments as well. So many people had lovely responses and messages of support and others were downright mean and hateful. I felt nothing but compassion for him, what I saw of the interview was quite moving. It made me feel sad for him.

I have about as much compassion for Bruce Jenner as Clang, which isn't very much. There are children starving to death for Christ's sake and the top news is whether that joker is gonna get his schlong removed or not.

Sounds lovely...

To change male genitalia to female genitalia, an incision is made into the scrotum (A). The flap of skin is pulled back, and the testes are removed (B). The skin is stripped from the penis but left attached, and a shorter urethra is cut ©. All but a stump of the penis is removed (D). The excess skin is used to create the labia (external genitalia) and vagina (E).

I think he'll balk at having his dick removed. He still likes fucking women.

Oh and I just read that P Diddy is walking Kim through this ordeal and helping her cope with his transformation.

I'm interested to hear what Obama has to say about all of this.

I thought he was a great looking man back then too. Never understood why he messed up such a handsome face with that nose job; now I do.

His sons with Linda Thompson -- Brandon and Brody -- are great looking men too, IMO.

Thompson went public for the first time today about having the carpet pulled out from under her seemingly idyllic marriage in its fifth year when he told her he identified as a woman and wanted to transition.

Bruce Jenner seems like a decent person to me, but abandoning those boys for years when he married Kardashian is bullshit, gender crisis or not.

P.s. You're right about the reality show; there's already an E series about his transition in the works.

Before we get all mushy talking about Bruce, let's not forget he's responsible for a woman's death a couple of months ago in Malibu, most likely because he was so self-absorbed that he needed to text and drive.

What a dick (for awhile at least).

If he were responsible wouldn't he have been arrested by now? They certainly would have discovered if he had been using his phone by this time.

It's already been determined by photos of the crash that Jenner was holding a cigarette, not a phone. The original report was retracted. I don't know if the investigation is complete or not, but he's not been charged with anything.

Anyway, I don't see anybody getting mushy and there's no connection between being involved in a car crash and being transgender.

^ That's a pic of Bruce snapped the other day.

The ABC interview was done back in February. Jenner told Diane Sawyer that he'd been going out in public dressed as a woman for years and nobody ever recognized him.

From a distance he looks sexy there standing in stripes. See, this is why I stopped whistling at women. Now I just look REAL hard and wonder. A bikini might work but who the hell knows nowadays. I just told a co-worker that I'm inviting him over for a cookout just to watch his girlfriend walk around in a bikini, he then whipped out his cell phone (the curse of morality) and shows me a picture of her naked. It kinda ruined it for me, but only a little.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
