The thrill is gone baby
The thrill is gone away
You know you done me wrong baby
And you'll be sorry someday

Did I sound like B. B. King?

If he'd survived, the incident mighta made for a hell of a country song...

Randy Howard was a member of country music's "Outlaw" movement, which rejected Nashville's polished music in favor of a rougher sound. Howard shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr., and has written songs for Hank Williams III.

Hank Williams III posted a picture on his Facebook page Thursday of him and Howard smiling together under the words, "RIP Randy Howard."

Howard had been charged with fourth-offense DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and driving on a revoked license. But he missed a court appearance.

On Tuesday night, bounty hunter Jackie Shell showed up at Howard's home to take him into custody and, according to reports, that's when the gun fight went down. Howard opened fire, Shell shot back, and Howard was killed.

Authorities are investigating whether Shell had authority to be on Howard's property. Shell was also injured in the shooting, but he survived.

Howard made seven records, including "All American Redneck" for Warner Bros. in 1983, and the self-titled "Randy Howard" for Atlantic in 1988.

Yeah, I didn't like the sound of that either, FAHQTOO.

Steven Tyler looks better than I've seen him look in a long time in that video though, healthier too.

I was talking to someone recently that likes his new country stuff. He actually said this: "Did you know that he plays piano now that he's into C&W?" hah

That's what they said about Darius Rucker, too.

I guess that proves you can still rock in America, MS.

So, are you going to the dream concert with your black buddies Lamarr and Glenn, or are you taking the wife? Smiley_emoticons_wink

Told my wife this morning and she looked about as excited as she does when she changes our nephew's shitty diaper.

I just don't get it.

Edit: nice sound quality on that video HotD. If you get time can you post the Don't Tell Me You Love Me video as well? Looks like it's from the same concert.

Not sure how you missed it either FAHQ, a lot of really good performances that night and everyone talked about it for weeks after.

It takes me awhile to catch up. Haha...

I'm a HUGE Heart fan...more so than LZ.
I suppose it would be blasphemous to say I like this version better than the original.

Let the flogging begin.

I don't think so. I've been to probably 6-7 Heart shows over the years and they always have at least 1 or 2 LZ tunes in their set, so it's likely that they've played the songs more than LZ has.

"When your daddy was quite surprised, to find you with the working girls in the county jail."

Donald Fagan has always been a great lyricist IMO.
