Well, if Christie doesn't make the cut, maybe you'll get to see Trump and Perry go at it.

They've been verbally bitch-slapping each other for a while. Last month, Trump accused Perry of mismanaging immigration at the Texas border and essentially being inept. Perry took to the press and proclaimed that "Donald Trump does not represent the Republican party!"

Then, Trump recently told media that former Texas Governor and presidential candidate Rick Perry lacked the 'energy,' 'brainpower' and 'toughness' to win. Perry's retort: 'Let's get a pull-up bar out there and see who can do more pull-ups!'



If the two of them actually race to the playground to do pull-ups on the monkey-bars and kick sand at each other, I hope they at least have the dignity to keep their shirts on!

Politics is seriously turning into B-grade entertainment since Trump joined the race. On the one hand, it's been fairly amusing. On the other hand, for me, it's growing stale quickly and it's a bit unnerving that these are the clowns looking to run our country.

Let's see who can do more pull-ups. Hahaha! Those bozos are making a mockery of this race and giving me a laugh every day. I'm normally bored to tears with this whole process.

The Republican presidential primary forum next Monday in New Hampshire will be more of a grilling than a debate, with individual candidates hauled up onstage one at a time to answer questions from a moderator.

Only three of the 17 Republican candidates will not be there. Businessman Donald Trump declined to attend, telling the New Hampshire Union Leader — the newspaper that came up with the idea for the forum — that he did not expect it to endorse him, so he saw little reason to take part. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee never responded to the Union Leader, and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore filed paperwork Wednesday to become a candidate, so he did not meet the Union Leader’s criteria to take part.

I don't care for Donald but I'm really lovin' so many of his responses.

He is resonating with people because he says what others only think and are afraid to say.

FOX hasn't yet confirmed which 10 GOP candidates will be debating on Thursday night, but based on the average across the national polls today, it looks like Rick Perry probably won't be on the prime time debate stage and Chris Christie probably will be.

Most notably, it’s looking like former Texas Gov. Rick Perry will be on the latter, so-called “kids' stage.” The three-term governor has failed to break out during his second run for the White House, although he led one of the reddest states in the country and has one of the best job creation records in the crowded field.

In recent weeks, Perry has more or less staked his campaign on being the anti-Donald Trump. He has lambasted the real estate mogul more forcefully than any other candidate -- particularly on the issue of veterans, in the aftermath of Trump’s comments disparaging the war service record of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.). As the only Republican presidential candidate with substantial military service, Perry would have been uniquely positioned to attack Trump on the matter this Thursday. He may end up doing so anyway, but chances are he won't be doing it to Trump's face.

Perry’s slump could also have to do with to the presence of another successful executive, Ohio Gov. John Kasich.


Kasich ^ supports Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion and is running on the mantle of “compassionate” conservatism. He announced his intention to run for president just two weeks ago. His late entrance appeared perfectly timed to land him a spot on the main stage, pushing past Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and former governors like Perry and George Pataki of New York.

As of Tuesday morning, the five polls Fox is most likely to use are from Monmouth University, NBC/The Wall Street Journal, Fox News itself, Bloomberg and CBS/The New York Times. Averaging these five polls gives Trump a strong lead with 23.2 percent support. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is a distant second with 12.8 percent support, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is nearby with 10.6 percent. After that, five candidates are clustered together within a narrow range: Ben Carson and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee each have 6.6 percent support, Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) has 6.2 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) has 5.2 percent and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) has 4.8 percent.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Kasich, who are polling with 3.4 and 2.8 percent support respectively, could be the final two candidates to make the main stage. Perry, meanwhile, has just 2 percent support -- but this puts him within the averaging error. Taking into account the differences in the five polls used to create the average, it could be that Perry has a shot at the 10^th slot.

The second tier will participate in an earlier forum at 5 p.m. EST the same night. The seven who will participate in that earlier forum are Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former HP head Carly Fiorina, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, former New York Gov. George Pataki, and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore.

I noticed that FOX had no mention of the N.H. forum that shunned FOX. I searched their website and not a peep.

I wonder why they get in so early, why not wait another 4 months and let them all eat each other then go in late and avoid all the scrutiny and backstabbing. In todays world of information excess it doesn't take much time to get info out there.

They're testing the waters to see whether if it looks like they may sink or swim.
