It looks like she's going to win the popular vote but lose the electoral college.
John Podesta just came out to send everyone home.
Wow, imagine that. I guess that is why we are a Constitutional Republic not a Democracy.
Well, now that Tramp is President-Elect, it will be a Dictatorship........so problem solved......you no longer live in a democracy.....My friends in Turkey sent me condolences and said they had to live with same kind of "leader" as 50% of their population voted for him. They had many of their previous rights taken away when he became more of a Dictator.......Now you don't have to have a temper tantrum when someone says the US is a democracy PP...

Al Sharpton said he would move out of the country if Trump won. I wonder if he needs help packing his bags.

The Clinton campaign had planned a two minute firework display over the Hudson River which would be visible from her election night party in anticipation of her winning the election – but now those plans are over. It was was said, She conceded to Trump over the phone, She didn’t concede or give a speech at her election night party to thank all who worked so hard for her!

No time for that. She's got assassinations to plan. Priorities, ya know...

I'm pretty sure Trump is a drunk. Only drunks send out random, insulting tweets at 3a.m. and have to have their phones taken away. Just ask Aussie.
For those of you who hate her, fuck you. I'm disappointed that Hillary didn't win because I voted for her in 2008 and I think she was the better candidate then and now. However, for me and mine, (looking at it purely from a selfish standpoint), a Trump presidency is more likely to benefit than harm us (unless he gets a hair up his ass and drops a nuclear bomb on Iran or something). My husband is about ready to start his own business under the weight of financial regulation (the rules that have been coming down the pipeline are not only onerous, they're often NOT in the best interest of his clients). Just the fact that he has to focus on fucking ridiculous paperwork, regulations and unnecessary correspondence with his clients takes away from his strength--actually managing their money. His only saving grace is he's added partners and pays to have a private secretary to handle some of that shit so he can actually pay attention to the market but....De-regulate! Tax reform!! $$$$!!!!
I just finished reading the latest edition of The Economist. I should have read it before last night. They nailed it in an article about Trump's sweep in the blue collar, working class. They interviewed a group of union workers in Michigan (I believe...not at all sure of the state). Anyway, the workers expressed extreme dislike for Hillary (cunt was the term used) and, as they weren't seeing economic growth in their particular area or their particular wages rising, they were/are disenfranchised and as Duchess said looked to Trump as their "savior". Ironically, they were enamored of a man who has advocated union busting and who has stated that "wages are too high".
I may pay more at the grocery store given time but so will the kid flipping burgers at what, $10 hr? So that's fair....
I am bothered about his potential to nominate 3-4 Supreme Court Justices as I lean left on some social issues (a woman's right to choose--although I'd support a few stipulations in there), gay rights etc. I'm completely uncertain about his ability with regards to foreign affairs. He's a loose cannon (and a drunk) as far as I'm concerned and my only comfort there is the balance of powers established in our constitution.
I'm still digesting this. I read another article comparing Trump's appeal to that of Hitler's. A generally disgusted populace enamored by a free thinking leader who presented himself as a non-political outsider who voiced some contempt for certain foreigners living within the country's borders. This from the highly regarded about.com:
Hitler wasn’t seen as a socialist, a monarchist, a democrat, like many rivals, instead he was portrayed and accepted as being Germany itself, the one man who’d cut across the many sources of anger and discontent in Germany and cure them all.
He wasn’t widely seen as a power hungry racist, but someone putting Germany and ‘Germans’ first. Indeed, Hitler managed to look like someone who would unite Germany rather than push it to extremes: he was praised for stopping a left wing revolution by crushing the socialists and communists (first in street fights and elections, then by putting them in camps), and praised again after the Night of the Long Knives for stopping his own right (and still some left) wingers from starting their own revolution. Hitler was the unifier, the one who halted chaos and bought everyone together.
I'm not drawing a direct parallel but I personally underestimated the angst of the blue collar worker (largely). But that wasn't the only group that voted for him (although I HAD to grab this snippet):
There was also a big swing for voters without a high school diploma, with Mr Trump leading 51% to Mrs Clinton's 45%. Four years ago, President Obama had 64% support from this group compared with Mitt Romney's 35%.
Mr Trump won the rural vote by 62% to 34% and the suburban vote by 50% to 45%, while Mrs Clinton won the urban vote by 59% to 35%.

Barack and Hillary were very gracious in their speeches this morning.
I hope Donald (much like the Grinch) has an epiphany in the coming weeks and his heart grows a few sizes bigger.
There are tools at his disposal to make significant changes in this country but that doesn't mean he has to exclude and alienate half the populace.

If the Hitler thing pans out, I'm good to go and run with it.
Many pieces of my Navajo jewelry (old pawn) has "swastikas".
I've been called . . . or asked if I support Nazism, deny the holocaust or embrace white supremacy . . . too many times to count.
Bitches have no idea these symbols existed long before Hitler.
Dumbass, educated, white women.

Boy am I going to be sorry that I voted for that fat fuck when I wake up to soviet paratroopers landing in my yard. I'm going to have to hide out in the wilderness and drink deer blood, it's going to suck.

Like I said, his foreign policy completely baffles me. Since he semi idolizes Putin, I don't think it would be Soviets dropping in our backyard. And, on the one hand, he said that he would rip up our deal with the Iranians but I think he also said at some point that he thinks "countries" (I'm not sure to whom he was referring) ought to be allowed to have nuclear weapons??
D'aesh leadership should be in love with him because he fuels hatred towards Americans but then again, he's insulted Muslims to such a degree that I would think some radicalized Muslim (*gasp* I said the words) here in the U.S. would have a big, red target on his forehead.
I don't see him getting along with Kim Jong-un (they're too much alike). I think if North Korea can ever get a long range nuclear warhead working, we're more likely to get hit with a nuke by them (you just know the Donald is going to point out that anyone named "Kim" has to be a pussy or call him Kim Jong-non or something like that). But that would be the west coast so I think you're okay--in the near term.

I believe most leaders of foreign countries will get along well with Trump. There is a trust factor with him that Clinton could never achieve.
