the thing is BBH I see exactly where you are coming from. I think that we can only help people and situations as much as we can in our own capacity. We cannot save the whole world, but we can all do our little bit together, this is the sort of thing that makes the world a better place. The problem is, you have the Putin's of the world, who want free reign to murder, rape and steal from you. You just have to do what you can do when you see a social injustice or if you have the power to make a wrong - right then do it. That's all we can do.

You might be proven wrong twice then Mags.
Confidential FBI informants are not 'spies'.
After getting intel that Russian operatives were trying to compromise the Trump campaign, a confidential informant (or two) was used to check it out, as is appropriate.
That was after the FBI was already made aware of Trump campaign advisor George Papadopolous' drunkenly telling Australian intelligence that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton. The FBI investigation was thus already in process.
There's no evidence whatsoever that the FBI was doing anything other than their job in investigating reports of a foreign adversary interfering in our election.
I believe I read it confirmed that the FBI warned the Trump campaign early on that they had reports of attempted Russian interference. If so, the campaign didn't listen or didn't care because campaign advisors continued to meet with Russian operatives many times; meetings which they later denied or mischaracterized until evidence proved their denials and characterizations as false. Then those campaign advisors claimed that they hadn't lied about the meetings but simply forgotten them.

"Spygate" is nothing but a silly branding exercise by Trump which is based on conspiracy theory at this time. It's designed to make highly biased and gullible people believe that any incriminating evidence or negative news related to the actual facts of the Russian Interference Investigation can't be trusted, and it seems to be working with that target market.
"Spygate" is just like Trump's unsubstantiated claim that "Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the campaign!" And, like the false claim that the first publicly known meeting between the Trump campaign and a female Russian lawyer in Trump Tower wasn't about Russian dirt on Clinton, but instead about "adoption policy".
It's also similar to a very common defense attorney strategy in criminal cases, "yes, my client was found with the victim's diamonds and pearls minutes after he was seen sneaking out of her bedroom window, but the cops mishandled the fingerprint confirmation -- my client was framed!"
Anyway, I don't know if Trump's propaganda conspiracy theory campaigns in this matter are motivated by his obsessive worry that evidence and information uncovered by investigators could lead some people to view his election as illegitimate (ego-driven), or if it's instead because he knows his campaign conspired with Russian operatives (fear-driven).
In any event, he succeeded in getting the Investigator General to look into his latest theory with an uncharacteristic level of transparency. So, if there was any improper intelligence gathering, we'll find out.
In the meantime, I've seen no objective Republican congresspersons -- even those who support Trump's policies -- backing his "SPIES!" proclamations. Instead, I've seen a few state that Trump's claims are baseless and/or premature without any substantiation at this point.

The trump campaign was warned more than once that the Russians may try to infiltrate his campaign. They were well aware this was a possibility and not only did the Russians make contact, they did so several times and the trump campaign choose not to come forward with the information and guess what? They lied about it as well, repeatedly.
When trump talks spying, he's talking to Maggot and people like Maggot, he's not talking to me or people like me.

So the F.B.I. used a "Confidential human sources" agent, (Not a spy?) into the Trump administration to "help" his campaign? And Mr. Obama did not know anything about it because he did not read it in the paper would be the logical conclusion if a person was not influenced by anything within the sphere of reality.
I wonder how many other election candidates had a "confidential human source" agent within their organization especially within the DNC. Bernie on the other hand may have had some other Tomfoolery bestowed on his campaign. But that's not in the report.

You do know the "I" stands for "Investigation" right?. It's kinda their fucking job to investigate possible criminal activity against the United States. Obstruction and Treason, for example. And they do so using informants and sources.
There really isn't any depth he can sink to for you to stop defending the dude, is there?

I left out your liberal hate Trump rant because it was just...........Well, stupid.
I am just wondering how many other "confidential human sources" were actually spread out among the flock of electoral candidates in order to "protect" them.

I am wondering why the F.B.I. wasn't looking into the underhanded back room deals Hillary was making to exclude Bernie from having a chance long before this alleged collusion the Trump campaign is accused of.

Debbie Wasserman had Pakistani IT guys have complete control over the DNC servers, they are now under house arrest. Bernie got a really bad shake out of it all but nothing was said about that either.
Nothing to see here.......move along.

That's not what we said, it's what you heard because it fits your narrative. I posted the known facts.
Mueller's team is not leaking. Much of the public's knowledge regarding what's being investigated in relation to possible collusion/conspiracy is coming from public statements by Trump and his surrogates in their attempts to discredit evidence/info that hasn't even been presented or uncovered.
There are also indictments against Russian operatives, along with indictments and guilty please from some of Trump's campaign advisors. Some of the charges/pleas are for lying to investigators about meetings with Russian operatives, and some are for financial crimes stemming from the Mueller investigation but not tied to Russian interference at this point (as far as the public knows).
No one has claimed that Russian operatives didn't attempt to interfere with other candidates' campaign. We know that Russians attempted to bolster Bernie and Jill Stein in the primaries in order to siphon votes from Hillary Clinton. That's been made public and verifed.
However, if Sanders' and/or Stein's campaign colluded or conspired with Russian operatives, there's no evidence of it in the public realm. That doesn't mean it hasn't been investigated or isn't being investigated. The same is true for the Clinton campaign, though it seems highly unlikely that Russians were trying to help her beat anyone considering intelligence officials concur that Russia's goal was to hurt Clinton's campaign. Putin's disdain for Hillary Clinton and the sanctions she spearheaded against Russia is not exactly a secret.

That article is filled with supposition and opinion. And it's from July of last year. It's not exactly like the Republicans are hesitant to investigate Hillary Clinton for alleged breaches of national security and they control all branches of government now. So, why aren't they investigating if there's any there there?
I can't stand Wasserman-Schultz and am not compelled to defend her in any matter. But, there really isn't anything of substance to see in the article you posted. If the writer's opinions are investigated and substantiated, then the responsible people in the Clinton campaign need to be held accountable if laws were broken.
And, I've covered the Wasserman-Schultz led DNC's proven (but not illegal) favortism of Clinton over Sanders at length here at Mock. It rubbed me way wrong then and now. It was not overlooked.
