THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY

In contrast to that, we have this:

In the fall of 1996, a charity called the Association to Benefit Children held a ribbon-cutting in Manhattan for a new nursery school serving children with AIDS. The bold-faced names took seats up front.

There was then-Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani ® and former mayor David Dinkins (D). TV stars Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford, who were major donors. And there was a seat saved for Steven Fisher, a developer who had given generously to build the nursery.
Then, all of a sudden, there was Donald Trump.

“Nobody knew he was coming,” said Abigail Disney, another donor sitting on the dais. “There’s this kind of ruckus at the door, and I don’t know what was going on, and in comes Donald Trump. [He] just gets up on the podium and sits down.”

Trump was not a major donor. He was not a donor, period. He’d never given a dollar to the nursery or the Association to Benefit Children, according to Gretchen Buchenholz, the charity’s executive director then and now.

But now he was sitting in Fisher’s seat, next to Giuliani.

“Frank Gifford turned to me and said, ‘Why is he here?’ ” Buchenholz recalled recently. By then, the ceremony had begun. There was nothing to do.

“Just sing past it,” she recalled Gifford telling her.

So they warbled into the first song on the program, “This Little Light of Mine,” alongside Trump and a chorus of children — with a photographer snapping photos, and Trump looking for all the world like an honored donor to the cause.

Afterward, Disney and Buchenholz recalled, Trump left without offering an explanation. Or a donation. Fisher was stuck in the audience. The charity spent months trying to repair its relationship with him.

Contrast that with her Foundations efforts in Haiiti.....

I remember hearing about this. trump donates to himself, not charities. He's a thief who is no longer allowed (by law) to have anything to do with a charity because, well, he's a thief who spends the donations on himself rather than the less fortunate that the money was intended for.

That buffoon went to El Paso last night. They didn't want him there because he continues to lie about their town so they passed a fricken resolution saying they are "disillusioned by president trump's lies regarding the border and our community" citing past lies and the liklihood of new ones at the rally. Jesus...and sure enough, he was lying his ass off, one of which was crowd size and the fire marshall immediately came out and debunked that. Ahahahaha. He tried to tell his audience his crowd was 35,000 strong and that Beto's rally only had a couple hundred people. The reality was that trump's crowd size was around 6500, that was the limit for the building. Beto had nearly 3 times as many.

I'm really looking forward to his filthy base & the reality of their tax returns. Hehehehehe

Hey Roo, have you read about his klan rally in El Paso? He told his audience that Ralph Norton supports "a newborn baby coming out into the world, and wrap the baby, make the baby comfortable, and then talk to the mother, talk to the father and then execute the baby". Execute the baby! He made that shit up and his jacked up crowd believed him. Jesus Christ, they have got to be the stupidest people on the face of the earth.

Why are you lying Duchess?

I mean this is pretty black and white. The exaggerated claims of 35000 attendees for the rally are outright lies. But then so are the claims that there were only 6500 people and they all were in the building.

In the same way that there was not 65 people at Beto's rally but there were not more than at Trump's.

I do not understand why lie? Are you trying to just spout stream of consciousness? Are you trying to convince someone? Are you trying to convince yourself?

Both had sizable rallies and the parity shows a very clear indication of two things, firstly that the Right love Trump and the Left Love Beto as much as the Left hates Trump and the Right think Beto is a clown AND secondly that there seems to be a large Liberal contingent in the El Paso area for what is considered a very red state traditionally.

If it were true (and you know you lied about this) that "they" did not want him there, he would NOT have had the turnout he did. You lied. You cannot square that ledger.

Bullshit he made this shit up. This is a lie too isn't it?

Referencing 3rd trimester and abortions during (and after) delivery.

It's simply dishonest to to "pretend" that this was "mad up" by Trump. He did not say these stupid things.
Again, why ARE you lying? Are you trying to pretend you don't know? Are you trying to virtue signal your hate for him? Are you trying to convince yourself or someone else?

Why?

IF those supporters are the stupidest people on Earth for believing what is figuratively true and how stupid would you be in believing that? Or perhaps you were mistaken and they were not the stupidest people on Earth and rather just people with differing political views to you? Either works for me?

You have to think of these things with an occasional cortex type view. Like the "green deal" the day it was published it was endorsed by 90% of the Democrat presidential candidates. It was up a few days until it was dissected and in it were quite a few impossible targets, keeping cows from farting comes to mind. Later it was taken down and today people are being accused of adding things to it. It came from the Occasional cortex website directly so reality was really not an issue from the beginning. Can you imagine what would happen if a Republican Governor had gone blackface in school! It would be the death march for them, instead we have CNN interviewing Northam thanking him for being up at 7am to do the interview. A completely different softball interview from the lopsided "media"

it's amazing yet it happens time and time again no prejudice there .......nope,nope.

Insert whatever the you want there. Can you imagine what would happen...

...if republicans condone racism

...if a republican were a con

...if a republican were a grifter

...if a republican lies daily

...if a republican thinks nazis are good people

...if republicans protected a murderer

There is so much more but rational thinking people will get where I'm going with this.

Any trump supporting republican can't be taken seriously. They haven't a valid leg to stand on when it comes to any damn thing.

I was just wondering about this. Where did they get that crowd? It's already been proven that Trump rallies have paid participants. Trump has taken a shit on El Paso by holding it up as a crime riddled hellhole that only the wall has saved when that's yet another big fucking lie that's upset many of the residents of the area. Loudly cheering/booing at his asinine story about a baby being taken away for euthanasia doesn't sound like something a large crowd would do unless they were being paid for it. Of course I could be underestimating the stupidity of Republican Trump followers and I already think they're dumber than a box of rocks.

Okay now we have moved from "there weren't hardly any people attending the rally" to "okay they were there but they are all stupid and probably paid"

Progress of a kind.

There is so much more but rational thinking people will get where I'm going with this.

Any trump supporting republican can't be taken seriously. They haven't a valid leg to stand on when it comes to any damn thing.

These are things the stupid, ignorant but most the ideologues aims at Trump.

Its a pretty stupid game and all parties to it know it is dishonest.

You are not pretending it somehow is a counter to Maggot's point on the hypocrisy and stupidity of the Democrats (plenty on display at the moment)

He hardly meets the definition of a grifter by any stretch. He is a very successful businessman, billionaire and now President.
He is a "con"? A "convict"? Okay, a big claim but ultimately easily proved and hard to refuse, where did he serve time? No? Okay.
He condones racism? Cool, when did he say "I think racists are okay". No? I mean he is hardly likely to say it in those precise words. What words did he condone racism with. Be precise. Not condoning illegal immigration, is not racist and it targets people breaking the law but does not target lawful legal immigrants. So what do you have? Not a lot?
He supports Nazis? Pretty bold-faced lie. I know,i know the talking point "there were good people on both sides" but there were and you and everyone pretending you think otherwise is being dishonest again.
He not only specifically denounced the Neo Nazis BUT everyone was aware that not all protesting to keep the statues was Neo Nazis. Quite simply, he was right and was not endorsing Nazis. There was and is no confusion.

As for him lying everyday, bullshit. Like all of the bullshit you spouted here. Most accusations of lies, like most talking points about him (see above), can be examined and found to be subjective interpretation, delusional and irrational conclusion or pedantic representation.
Trump does lie (every politician does) but mostly Trump seems to take in complex and nuanced positions and present them in a simplified way with little if no nuance. Of course it is a pedant's wet dream because they run to the lack of nuance or disclaimers that politician's normally love. He doesn't give a fuck. His message and actions remain on point despite the lack of nuance and subtlety.

So lying again Duchess. I do get that you don't like Trump but i don't get the lying? Wouldn't it be better telling the truth to get your point about him. When you lie about Trump not only does it not make him look bad but it looks like you have nothing against him so you have to lie. I don't get it.
If for example, you say "His views on anti-vacination are terrible" i am with you. If you point to a one trillion dollar budget last year and say this runs against his positions on reducing debt, that is completely rational. Instead you choose dishonest talking points.

That just makes you look either like an irrational zealot, a liar or someone who is really stupid. I don't think you are stupid. I don't want to think you are a liar.

Stupid games with stupid prizes.

Don't worry, Trump will not build a "wall" in that I can be sure but he might build a "barrier" which would be fine and I know in my heart of hearts that "Mexico" will not pay for it but El Chapo might according to The Ted Cruz legislation introduced in the Senate that will allow his 13 billion in assets to be taken if only because he has been found guilty, to be siphoned towards helping to build a "barrier" along the Southern border.  Smiley_emoticons_biggrin  See all that needed to be changed was the term "wall" geez, that should have been thought of a long time ago.............stupid republicans! It may even pay for the beds that the Dems are trying to take away from ICE to hold illegal immigrants. The legal ones will be immune to this obvious "immorality"

I'm also glad that Mitch McConnell has arranged a vote on the "Green New Deal" that is supported by many of the Socialist violent left, Sometimes I wonder if the guy has any brain cells but with this vote on the deal I think I saw mirth in his eyes.

They will not give a dime for a 'wall' but will allow the American people to pay for a "barrier" Mexico may not pay for the rest but a Mexican drug lord might.  Smiley_emoticons_biggrin
