You know it is true that there are people around who will happily ignore everything that has come out about what the Dossier was based on. These are from reputable new, from court transcripts and the like. About as solid as we can get. The also ignore the admissions of bias, of ignoring process, of the head management almost to a person resigning or being fired from the FBI that covered the Hillary server issue and the Trump dossier. They ignore the link between British Secret Service, Five Eyes Agreement, CIA, DOJ, Fusion GPS, DNC, and the links between such that players like The Ohr's, Halper, Steele, Simpson and Natalia Veselnitskaya had. It was more than a dirty tricks campaign. The links between each and the contacts and when are amazing. Nellie Ohr is just an example. She works at Fusion GPS, but used to work for the CIA and is married to Bruce Ohr who worked for the FBI and carried her work to parties on her behalf. That is one. Natalia Veselnitskaya has links to both Fusion GPS and DNC for another example.

What you have to understand is that they threw out process an rules because they considered Trump a threat. Not that they considered he may be a poor or incompetent leader but someone removing at any cost and so rules and process were disregarded and insurance policy contingency plans put in place. Wall to wall smear and propaganda through the press since he became President. Mueller investigation. Whatever they could do.

He was not supposed to win and when he won he was supposed to be derailed and/or contained.

Now the Mueller investigation is nearly over, no result. He has taken their body blows. He has been holding off on the declassifications and for his Attorney General to be appointed. He has the Supreme Court.

I think declassifications are coming first and then the reports from Huber.

Yet there are still people who are so very gone and up to their eyeballs in kool aid that they are prepared to ignore ALL of this. Pretend Huber does not exist. Prepared to pretend that the Mueller report was worth 30 million and hurt him. That there is not proven collusion between the DNC, Fusion GPS, Christopher Steele and the Russians.

Can you imagine the kool aid you would need to drink to get you to that place?

Attorney General's Summary of Mueller Report 

Yesterday was definitely a good day for Trump and company, and the Republican party.

According to AG Barr's 4-page summary, the independent investigation did not establish that Russia's interference in the 2016 U.S. election was carried out with intentional coordination/cooperation/conspiring by then-candidate Trump or members of the Trump campaign.  

Mueller's report has not been released to the public, but Barr's summary indicates that while no conspiracy crimes were charged, the investigation did not exonerate President Trump and Mueller's team chose not to draw a prosecutorial conclusion regarding 'obstruction of justice'.  

Barr's summary of Mueller's report states that he and Deputy AG Rosenstein have decided that there is no chargeable obstruction.  I think there will be a lot of Congresspersons (especially Democratic Reps) who will consider Barr's attempt to make that call an infringement of their oversight responsibilities and may want to pursue hearings on the matter.  Obstruction does not require evidence of an underlying crime, as demonstrated in the Nixon, Clinton, and a slew of other obstruction cases.

So now............President Trump is claiming 'complete exoneration' and calling for investigation of 'the other side'; congresspersons are pushing for release of the actual Mueller report; some prominent Democrats and anti-Trumpers who insisted that there was evidence of collusion are skeptical of Barr's summary and Mueller's decision to punt on the issue of obstruction; some prominent Republicans and Trump-loyalists who insisted that Mueller was a witch-hunting hack overseeing 'angry Democrats' hellbent on charging Trump are  celebrating Mueller's purported conclusions.

Both sides will be spinning contents of the Mueller report to best suit their agendas for some time to come, in my opinion.

I wish I was seeing more focus from elected leaders on both sides regarding how to deter Russia (and other countries who may be motivated to follow the same playbook) from illegally interfering in future U.S. elections.  

Influence campaigns into other country's politics is nothing new and the U.S. engages in them too.  But, Russia's actions in 2016 went beyond 'influencing'.  Hacking and releasing party/candidate communications, foreign entities falsely representing themselves as citizen activists  on social media to create divisions between citizens, covert governmental operatives aggressively trying to infiltrate a campaign, attempts to hack electronic voting machines, etc..............are criminal acts made easier by today's technology and political polarization.   Hopefully, a lot is being done by our national security agencies to aggressively defend against it.
