Arbery’s attorneys have said those charges have nothing to do with his killing.

I agree with the attorney.

Do you agree that Gregory McMichael & his son's past is open to review as well?

I personally don't think that the unrelated charges against Arbery in his past are relevant to his homicide.

Likewise, I don't think that Gregory McMichael's multiple failures to complete the minimum 20-hours of training per year required to retain his ability to arrest and carry a firearm when he was a police officer amounts to evidence against him when it comes to the violent criminal charges he's now facing.

McMichael said that problems with his health, depression, finances, and his daughter prevented him from meeting the basic LE requirements.)  https://abcnews.go.com/US/gregory-mcmich...d=70690972

Arbery wasn't in the commission of a crime or fleeing a felony crime when he was chased and killed by the McMichaels.  Therefore, there was no legal grounds for a 'citizen's arrest', which the McMichaels claim they were attempting.

And, Gregory McMichael was no longer a police officer when he and his son chased and killed Arbery.

However, the prosecutors will almost certainly attempt to use McMichael's failures as a police officer to establish/create context that bolsters their case.

And, the defense attorneys will almost certainly attempt to use the charges Arbery faced in his younger days to paint him as a bad person, and as a 'threat' to the McMichaels against which they were simply defending themselves.

It will be interesting to see if a judge allows any of the past crimes and histories to be admissible in court if the assault and murder case against the McMichaels makes it to a jury.

I want to know if he was a regular jogger or if that is part of the narrative. If he was i'm on his side.

Then do some fucking research.    The interwebs makes it easier these days.   Even if he wasn't a regular jogger,  it's not a justification to kill him

I'm saying the story is already fishy, was he a regular jogger and if not why just that day he was "jogging".

again, do some fucking research, you hairy imbecile. He was an avid jogger...

"Arbery was a 25-year-old from the Brunswick, Georgia, area, a former star high-school linebacker who liked to stay in shape and was an avid jogger, according to his family. His mother lives a few miles away from the Satilla Shores neighborhood, which is where he was running on the afternoon of Sunday, February 23, at around 1 p.m. He was wearing a white T-shirt, shorts, running shoes, and a bandanna."

I saw that on the news twice, and still didn't catch why/what his involvement was. It was said he took the video.

The GBI will be giving more details at a press conference tomorrow morning.

From what I gather, William “Roddie” Bryan Jr. was a friend of the McMichaels who joined them in their pursuit of Arbery (in a separate vehicle) and filmed the chase and killing.

In the Glynn County police incident report on the shooting, Gregory McMichael told an officer that at one point Arbery “began running back the direction from which he came and `Roddie’ attempted to block him which was unsuccessful.”  <--  If true, that makes Roddie more than a witness and more like an accomplice.

Under Georgia law, a person can be charged with felony murder for committing any felony that causes the death of someone else. It does not require intent to kill and carries an automatic life sentence.

I won't be surprised if prosecutors now have evidence that Roddie did try to block Arbery as Arbery was trying to run away from his pursuers and are charging Roddie with the most severe crime they feel they can justify in order to get him to tell the whole story/truth (and testify against the McMichaels), in exchange for a reduction in charges or some other plea deal.
