Oh my...don't tempt me....there is a Ben and Jerry's ice cream shop on my way to and from work.

Is there a chili cheese fry shop because thats what I could go for now. Or an empanada shop would be good too.

I totally made Taco Salad tonight.

Almost how my mom used to make it.

Does anyone here make a taco salad? What are your ingredients?

I used turkey meat, onion and pepper and seasoning
Lettuce (ice burg-just like mom used to use)
Olives
more peppers-not cooked
black beans
salsa (My mom used to use chopped tomatoes) I had leftover salsa I threw in
We would eat this chilled with doritos. My favorite summer meal as a kid.

I found bacon ranch dressing at the store tonight so I used that. We used to use thousand island or sourcream.

I've been ordering fruit and meat through Whole Foods (via Amazon Prime) for the last few weeks.  

I'd never shopped at Whole Foods before and figured it was expensive, but it's not really much more than Safeway (plus the groceries usually arrive within 2 hours).

Anyway, their ribeye steaks are excellent.  Tonight I'm barbecuing steak with onions, asparagus, and sweet/spicy prawns. 

Thank you for making me look up "prawns" I have no clue what that is.

They are shrimp. Geez!

But it's down to 113 now.

Yeah, it's fucking hot alright.  I've gotten pretty used to it though.  

I still work out in the pool everyday, but it's not all that refreshing these days -- feels like warm bath water.

The poor dog is miserable outside when it's this hot though.  I take her for a walk or to the dog park before 7 am and after 9 pm when it's this hot.  She eats a lot less dinner too (but still never refuses a treat).

I find I am not eating much during the day, but at night when it cools down a little I eat more. I am forcing myself to sit outside and acclimate to the weather a little. Only 100 here!!!!

Trying to decide whether to make chicken/broccoli alfredo,  or black beans and rice with seasoned chicken and bacon wrapped asparagus.

Hot dogs and chips. Poor deluded doctor thinks I'll start my diet by the time I see him in 2 months. Fuck that. I'm up 4 pounds in the last month or so. 269 to 273.
