Are you kidding me?
Have you read any of those books?
That looks like a great reading list! Thanks for posting it!
Tell me which one from that list bothers you the most. I will get it and read it and report back.

If it's all A-OK, why are so many people lying about it's influence in education, claiming that "it doesn't exist"?
I'm not saying it's good or bad, just wondering why there's so much lying about it.

Claiming that racism doesn't exist?
Or are you saying that the democrats are lying about CRT-where the definition of CRT is "teaching kids, especially white kids that they should feel guilty and that history was written in correctly and now we are doing it correctly"
Because that seems to be the republican defiinition and fear of CRT-that it is teaching thier kids something bad.
Instead they could just look at it as "Oh, maybe some of the history we originally learned wasn't actually true afterall-and maybe some of the history favored white people and white people's stories and left out black person's stories"
Or "Hey maybe some of America was founded upon racist ideals and racism" that doesn't mean everything about America is bad, or anyone should feel bad-how about it just means, "Hey what is the truth?" Or "What is a different way of looking at this?"
Instead the republicans are super scared. Do you find that a little ridiculous?
I am serious-I will take a look at any of those books on that list-but I did look at some of the prices, some are only available in physical form, so I will just go ahead and check one of them out that I can put on my kindle and I will come back with a book report!

I have seen repeated claims in the media that "CRT does not exist" and "CRT is not a thing", with no mention of any particular definition. Obviously CRT does exist, and I assume that even Duchess would acknowledge that, so the only way these claims make any sense is if they are referencing schools/education, and that is blatantly untrue, CRT very much DOES exist in education, as evidenced by the Virginia Dept. of Education reading list, which is identical to what you will find in a great many states. So again, why lie about it and claim that it's a conspiracy theory among parents who have now been branded as domestic terrorists? The only reason I can think of is because the proponents of CRT are unwilling to discuss this matter publicly, because they think parents should not have any say in how their children are educated, that it is the state, and only the state that should make these kinds of decisions -- which is ironic considering that states have been some of the worst racists in our history, North AND South.

We really should move this conversation to the CRT thread.
As far as anyone denying its existence I need to see specifics. If you are talking about the fact that an angry parent assumes it is being taught in thier district and goes to a board meeting or holds a sign on the street-and then the school board members and teachers say "We aren't teaching it here"
Also you and I are talking about 2 different definitions of CRT. And I assume you see it as a negative thing and I do not.
I think what the republicans are afraid of is that thier kids are being taught that America is bad.
They need to state specific things that bother them about CRT-if they really know what it is-and say that they don't want those specific things taught to thier students, not just that "CRT is bad"
So I can't help you with answering the question of why anyone is denying it exists. Sorry.
At one point it was only being taught or discussed at the college level.
Thats all I have.
