How do you figure?  England voted to keep their kings and queens on the public dime, why?

The Royal family and all that entails makes far more money for this country than it takes out.    By far.   She is head of state, she or he can fire a government if they want too.  He now.

The Royals make serious money on tourism alone.  They sell Britain abroad, seal deals, entertain heads of foriegn  governments, contracts get signed.   They tour abroad, or did befrore the queen became to infirm.    The commonwealth looks after its own, business wise.

They also sell goodness, to school children through the Duke Of Edinburgh awards, lead by example, stand for what is good and wholesome.   Or the queen does.  Or did. 

America does not have a monarch telling the government of the day to look after Doris Peaboby pf Chicago who has no insurance, has cancer, and a brain tumour.  And is wandering the streets with dementia.

Did not watch the entire service, but at the beginning when they were walking to the service. Charles looked so sad...and scared. He has spent his life preparing for this role..but the knowledge of knowing his mum had to pass for him to be king.....

So Elton John didn't love The Queen? I'm disappointed he didn't make a version of Candle in the Wind and play it at the funeral.

I thought she was a good person with common sense. You don't find that very often in todays world, but she was part of yesterdays world and in that she was normal and basically a good person. She will be missed.
