I read the first sentence and didn't want to read anymore. Did I say sentence? I meant 5 words.

Is that a shot at Mike Johnson?

Musk may be a bigger narcissist than Trump.

There is discord, but Mike Johnson is managing to stay in trump's good graces. He kisses the ring when he needs to. I couldn't possibly know this but I think he winds up in the same boat that McCarthy found himself in, as an aside, McCarthy still has allies on the hill and loathes Matt Gaetz, the feeling is mutual. There is as much drama among these grown ass men as there is among 15 year old girls. I don't feel that's an exaggeration.

So trump wants to eliminate the debt ceiling yet he has promised to cut & balance the budget. Given he intends to do that why would he want to eliminate the debt ceiling?

Because Trump doesn't understand basic math and needs to cover his orange saggy ass with lies and bullshit and empty promises.

Be interesting to see what the Federal Reserve chairman has to say about that.

Will it matter? I ask that without snark. There is nothing normal about what is going on right now. Norms mean nothing. How the hell is that lunatic Elon calling the shots?

It would eliminate the need for stopgap legislation, so no votes, no discussion.

I think it matters in terms of whether or not the Federal Reserve and Trump are at odds. If they are, that's a big deal. I hope that's the case because I like to see my enemies fighting each other.

I’m sure Trump is trying to figure out a way where the executive branch is in charge of the federal reserve so it’s moot if he accomplishes that.

Is hubby a FED watcher? If so, he should have some thoughts on this.

Global finance is front and center in the "great reset". My understanding is that CBDC's are being rolled out as a solution for the soon-to-happen banking collapse, which has been in the works for decades. I suppose Trump could be hammering in the final nail in the coffin of the dollar but I don't get the sense that he intends to abandon it in favor of a BRICS template.

This sounds deeply concerning. I don't know much of anything about how all that works, but I do know it sounds very bad when you describe it as the final nail.
