I have jumped from dozens of aircraft, they are declared as cargo planes so the safety standards are much less stringent than passenger planes. Four days after my 13'th jump the same plane I was on crashed, killing among others, the first and last persons I had jumped with and the cute girl bartender from our little "bombshelter" bar. After that taking off was the most terrifying part of jumping, let me out i'm now in charge of my destiny not the plane or pilot. I ended up doing 350 jumps.

Now listen up mother fuckers, if you waited until now to try and get a hotel anywhere near the path of totality for the eclipse, you are shit out of luck. All the hotels/motels and inns have been booked out for that week. Hell most of the campgrounds in new England are opening early, just for the eclipse and most of them are booked out, too.

I was planning a relaxing time to myself next Saturday night and then someone asked if I wanted to join them for a show and I said yes too quickly. Id rather a quiet evening at home. ( I will be in town for the long weekend)

Well this isn't trivial or boring but I didn't want to spend time looking for the random thread.
I dumped a whole countertop with the computer and other equipment today. I was careless when re-arranging and everything just slid off with the standing desk and on to the floor. There are soft mats on the floor and nothing broke. So fucking glad. I was shaking so bad. I didn't know how I was going to explain a broken monitor when there was no earthquake.
