I doubt that they are going to wear them,  but I am hoping that they at least thank the dumbass, and not let him see when they throw them away. 

His thought process was a 'welcome to the family ' token gift.   The older 2 aren't our biological grands.   He picked out matching gifts for the boys,  too.  They are getting swiss army knives.

I completely understand that. I wasn't belittling his choice, having only brothers I know how much differently men think as compared to women.
