I believe illegal immigrants aren't to blame for being here- the businesses who hire them illegally are and should be held accountable..
The immigrants should have a chance to make it legal.. and their kids shouldn't be the ones to suffer.
I think we have a great country but the political divide is killing us- political differences are no longer just about politics- its been turned into a good verses evil..
the whole "your kind is ruining this country" is what is ruining this country.
The very ideology that Liberals can't be Christians (heard that one more than once) and Conservatives only care about money not human lives are just 2 examples of how polarized we have become.. And it is wrong whichever side is doing it

I love a good debate and have been known to take the opposite point of view than mine just to have a good discussion.
Religion and Politics all have their place but I don't think they need to be part of every topic.. if that makes sense.
username- I do have a thing about logic and rational but I'm also a woman and since I was 5 I've been saying "it is a woman's right to change her mind" so I can be irrational with the best of them..

Not an apologist but..
I should have been a bit clearer-of course illegals choose to be here but often times they make that choice because they are offered good pay, well good for them anyway, while we American's would never work for such little wages...
I do think their kids are mostly victims who are brought here by their parents.
But I do remain stead fast that the real criminals in this are the companies and their executives that dangle that carrot and put profit above not just human lives but they put profit a head of this country.
I remember working in the factory in Compton and they had raids and all the office workers where forced to hid illegal workers under their desk.
Don't think the illegals issue is black and white- there are a whole lot of grey areas
I think that is undoubtedly a Liberal point of view though- issues are often not simply black or white for us...

I also agree with you on the guest worker program- I just think if they get here and want to stay they should have an easier time doing so legally.
