I saw this video last Friday if I remember correctly, to be honest as far as gore factor is concerned I think some of the Mexican cartel videos are worse. Thats not saying its not upsetting and gory but there is definitely worse out there.
I dont look at this stuff out of enjoyment, when I was in college I was studying to be a forensics investigator so I look at the Psychological side and the crime scene end of it when I see these things. I am kinda used to seeing it all between what I saw in school and whats out on the web so I may not be the best judge on how bad the video may be for some. This video at some points looked fake and I think thats why it went a few days before flags started going off on government level.

I have seen tons of dismemberment vids, mostly mexican and russian thofrom the sounds of it, its not as bad as the russian drug dealer who dismembers a woman in a bath, that was hard to watch and he laughing and smoking ciggies and showing off the whole way through, there is a lot of mental shit on live leak.

I haven't really watched any of those types of videos, but reading how after he decapitated the guy, he flipped him over and sodomized him, then used a bottle neck and repeatedly raped him with that then used the guys severed hand to jerk himself off oh and in between using a knife and fork to cut a piece of the guys arse off and ate some himself and then fed some to a dog, it's hard to believe there is more similar things available to watch online that are real.

Same here. I have no desire to watch that kind of stuff - and don't want to associate with people who do - and it scares the crap out of me how many people apparently do.

Very strange. I'm not watching that shit. Rubbernecking snuff like that may be fascinating to some, Personally I've never seen the appeal.
Watching horror films is one thing. That's a fantasy. Watching real time stuff that's actually happening is just flat.
I went to school with Bret Easton Ellis when he was writing American Psycho and he was obsessed with "getting it right". Some of the discussions we had were about just making it up and not relying on reality to "report" said actions. Weird.

i've seen some pretty horrible crime scenes, and think i'm desensitized. i can take just about anything. it was work, the job. but one thing always tore me up, the video of beheading of Nick Berg. he was only 26.
it took me many months to get over it. it played over and over in my mind. i prayed fervently his parents never saw it.

I also saw a Russian video not long back on live leak where two kids were murdering and filming homeless people, on one of the tapes they went back to a lady they had killed a few days prior and cut off her ears, cut her neck and chopped her hand off at the wrist I mean I knew it was abhorrent but still it didn't make me feel Ill I was just happy they recorded it all so brazenly as it was the evidence that cost them their freedom, which they don't deserve.

That's because what gets sensationalized in thriller/horror/similar genre scenes is so over the top that reality can pale in comparison and look "fake".
Having been around dead bodies and some awful things, it's easy to spot the difference.
And I believe he was alive when the video started, as there was some struggling. The video is stopped, and when it resumes he is obviously deceased.
