RE: ELECTION 2020 - HairOfTheDog - 01-06-2020 I wonder if the impeachment will even have an effect on the 2020 election, other than to increase voter turn out. Seems like 90% of Republicans and electoral delegates will stick with Trump no matter what, and an equally large majority of Democrats and delegates believe the impeachment was more than justified and want Trump gone. It doesn't look to me like impeachment moved the needle much, but maybe it influenced a large number of Independents? Anyway, I see that Julian Castro dropped out of the 2020 Democratic primary race last week and has endorsed Elizabeth Warren. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/01/06/julian-castro-endorses-elizabeth-warren-president-094700 RE: ELECTION 2020 - Duchess - 01-06-2020 (01-06-2020, 01:25 PM)Maggot Wrote: It's a Hawaiian. RE: ELECTION 2020 - Maggot - 01-06-2020 If i had to pick from the congregation it would be Tulsi Gabbard. She seems to be the middle ground or close to it. She doesn't do the frog walk. RE: ELECTION 2020 - Duchess - 01-06-2020 Now you're just fuckin' with me. RE: ELECTION 2020 - BigMark - 01-06-2020 Plus she's en fuego! She doesn't "tow the line" with the Dems like all the others that's why she will never be the nominated chosen one. Same with Bernie, he's toast. Warren is a user and most of them are issuing false promises that will never happen. Tulsi was in the National Guard. And I did say "if" RE: ELECTION 2020 - Clang McFly - 01-06-2020 (01-06-2020, 02:43 PM)Duchess Wrote:Yes. RE: ELECTION 2020 - HairOfTheDog - 01-28-2020 The Battle for Senate Majority 2020 Senate Majority PAC, the super PAC aligned with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, raised $61 million in 2019 and ended the year with $47 million in the bank (a record sum that exceeds that of its GOP counterpart and will boost Democrats as they seek to recapture the Senate this year). The Republican counterpart PAC aligned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell raised $27.3 million and ended the year with $30.8 million in the bank. The fundraising momentum and re-election map/math have Democrats optimistic about taking back control of the Senate in 2020. Democrats need a net gain of four Senate seats to win majority control (or a net gain of 3 Senate seats if a Democratic Vice President takes office). Republicans currently hold a 53-47 majority in the Senate and will be defending 23 seats this year, with at least 6 of them considered vulnerable battlegrounds. Democrats will be defending only 12 senatorial seats this year, with up to three considered vulnerable. Democrats are still the largest political party with more than 42 million voters (compared with 30 million Republicans and 24 million independents). en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Political_parties_in_the_United_States RE: ELECTION 2020 - HairOfTheDog - 01-28-2020 (01-28-2020, 11:11 PM)Rootilda Wrote: If we went by popular vote, Trump would be out on his ass. Unless more than half of the Independents voted for Trump (and/or enough registered Democrats voted for Trump). RE: ELECTION 2020 - Rootilda - 01-29-2020 You can hear someone from Fox News giggling when Trump's brain seizes up. https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1222335747992248322 RE: ELECTION 2020 - Rootilda - 01-29-2020 (01-28-2020, 11:36 PM)HairOfTheDog Wrote:(01-28-2020, 11:11 PM)Rootilda Wrote: If we went by popular vote, Trump would be out on his ass. I'm looking more toward the future, his devoted base are outnumbered according to most/all of the recent polls. RE: ELECTION 2020 - BigMark - 01-29-2020 People whose taxes are being taken for people who don't want to work vote for Trump. RE: ELECTION 2020 - Rootilda - 01-29-2020 "... taxes are being taken for people that don't want to work..." Oh, the 1% tax cut for the ultra rich? Yeah, you're right.
