Are you a witch?
Because they think I'm gay for watching Harry Potter movies. People who embrace a religion because of Hermione are gayer than I am.

Sweetheart, I don't think you're gay because of your love of Harry Potter. I just think you're a happy Cracker.

Haha. I am pretty happy.
I like the second one because she is strange and can spell. The first one will try to analyze us, but I think I'm down with that, too. Just because I always wonder WTF is wrong with Dick and if Maggot is dangerous.

Maggot posts some off the wall shit sometimes. He's very likable, but I can't shake the feeling that the boy ain't right.

He's very smart & he writes beautifully. He knows I like dance & he wrote something for me once and posted it, even though I died, it was lovely. Hahaha, that actually sounded right in my mind.

Okay, I give up. Who the hell is that in Moonmess's avatar? Please tell me it's some public figure that I should recognize and that a newbie didn't post their own pic as an avatar at Mock? Somebody?

First let me thank both of the newbies for posting, that was really nice!
now get the fuck out while there is still time and you still can.
Now that we understand each other, don't be surprised if these other stupid fuckers tell you bad shit about me, none of it is true, I'm as nice as they come around here.

No. I'm not a witch, but I do work with herbs and practice some variation of earth magick. I follow my own path, which is ever changing. I like to consider myself a mystic because witch, wiccan, whatever..is too limiting. I work with crystals too.
I am odd, I suppose, but we all are in some way. I was born into and raised in a family of bizarre people so I suppose I get it honest.
I'm not into the "I'm a 3rd generation witch, twice removed, on my 2nd cousin's side of the family" sort of magick because long ago mostly everyone worked herb/root healing/magick and it's no big deal. Some of my friends know I work with these things and some don't.
Being fascinated with mystical/mysterious things like those portrayed in Harry Potter doesn't have anything to do with being gay (or straight). One of my favorite quotes is by Albert Einstein. "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."

Thank you for the welcome, Lady Cop.
Hey Moon! I'm fairly new here too. I'm also a NC chick, although I'm originally a Jersey girl. Love Asheville! Go there every chance I can get!

I so want to be you Duchess. The most my poor ADD riddled brain can handle is a magazine, so I can't read that much anymore. L

Nice to meet you, Bampton! I have a friend that's a Jersey guy.
I love Asheville too. Some parts of NC are great but some aren't so hot. I suppose it's that way everywhere though.

I meant "gay" as in retarded. As in too old to be playing Dungeons and Dragons. As in too old to have a wand.
Is it less stupid if you spell magic with a "k" at the end?
Being mean to newbies is like being vegan: It's harder to hurt things when they have a face.
All the witches are around here are fat. So I tend to not believe they are magick (nope, still stupid) because apparently the "get skinny" spell doesn't work.

The 'k' at the end is to distinguish it from from the sleight of hand magic.
