Please don't shout at me today, I was drinking this beverage last night until this morning:
I went to a Brazilian restaurant in LA at least 15 years ago; really enjoyed it. That was the only time that I had Cachaça. I didn't like it much and switched to beer - don't like sweet drinks in general.
I lived in Japan for a few years and very much enjoy sake, hot or cold, but rarely drink it anymore.
I don't shout much, Paulistano - you're safe. By the way, eggs benedict is said to have been the creation of a Mr. Benedict who had been drinking a lot the night before. English muffin + French hollandaise sauce + Canadian bacon + American farm fresh eggs = an excellent multi-national "morning/afternoon after" cure.

Many thanks. I assume that the restaurant was a churrascaria (where they serve meat at your table). They can be spectacular.
Mr. Benedict's creation is welcome at my place any time..
All that is left for me to do now is explore the etymology of your username.

Yes. Lots of great meats and spices; a comida foi delicioso.

There wasn't any real thought or originality involved in choosing my username.. This album was on my turntable when I registered.

Voce fala Portugues?
Wonderful restaurants.
Are we pissing people off being off topic here? Is there a general chat thread?
Nice interacting with you.

Not.at.all. The only place there's any effort to stay on topic is in the crime forum. Pretty much all the other threads eventually veer off course.

Eu não falo Português, mas eu sou fluente no Google Translator. Eu estou apenas sendo um espertinho por empréstimo de outro idioma você.
I don't know if we're pissing anybody off, but if so, it's probably not about being off-topic. Duchess, username and SphincterCop don't care how a thread flows in the general forum; free for all.
In the Cell Block / Crime Forum, staying on topic and respecting the rules is expected, but it's not uptight in there either.
I've gotta shutdown soon; stalling with the laundry and mopping this afternoon.
Nice meeting you too...

I did have a drink last night. It was awesome and the first time in a while.
Nope, didn't think you were drinking at all. Just playing along with HotD and her comments...
Glad you enjoyed your imbibing. Kind of pointless to do it otherwise!

Good, some forums are quite uptight about topic drift.

Great, and likewise, thanks very much for the information.

I think that might of landed me in jail. I have total respect for my elders but I dare some old bastard to slap my baby in the face. He'd be swallowing his denture. That is just horrible. I could have over looked the N comment. But the slap.....HELL NO!

Can Duchess make a forum for the extremely boring people? Maybe a "What the pseudo-intellectuals think so the rest of us don't have to scroll through pages and pages of it Forum."
Not from chimpout:
"Blacks, who make up 14 percent of the population, comprise 44 percent of all new HIV infections, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In fact, the CDC estimates that 1 of every 16 black men and 1 of every 32 black women will be diagnosed with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, at some point in their life."
You think white people are running around stabbing blacks with dirty needles or do you think they will fuck anything that moves like aussie or jsmom?

Come on Cracker, you know damn well that it is the white devils that created the virus! And stop pretending the CIA didn't invent crack to get black people hooked on it either.

I read about that the other day. Jack Daniels did the same thing several years back. That's when my friend Kurt and I switched exclusively to Makers.
Honestly, these days I get wasted from just a couple of Maker's rocks and pretty much only drink them when I'm hanging out with Kurt and his wife.
But, I'm having company tomorrow night and just picked up some Vodka and Cranberry Juice. A couple of Cape Cods = just the right buzz.
Great news HotD! Your email campaign and mobilization of Maker's drinkers worldwide has caused a reversal! Maker's Mark has announced they will NOT be changing the recipe or alcohol content.
Raise a glass to your success!

Wasn't me, but good news for hard-core Maker's drinkers.
We had Bloody Marys very early this morning. My friend had a double and then went off to golf, no problem. I had a light one and I'm still lounging on the couch. Total lightweight.

It's nice to just relax when the phone's not ringing.
I wish I could export our weather your way for a bit, Duchess. It's really clear, sunny and warm here. Good day for lounging outside.
